Boogster99
Mine was ordered on 18 October, built the week before Thanksgiving, and estimated delivery dates of 18 December and 27 January have come and gone. The new estimated delivery date is 18 March but faith has diminished.
Redraiderlax
I ordered an XLT on 12/23/21. I was going to FL for the winter and told the dealer i didn't need it until first week of April. Told me no problem, vehicle would be delivered by mid-March. I called last week and was told delivery is delayed until probably? June. When I questioned the sales rep I was told the explorer was scheduled to be built week of 2/1/22 and its been built. I asked why was the delivery was delayed. She stated "chip shortage" is this legit? does having the vin help me track the vehicle 1FMSK8DHXNGA98059 Thanks in advance
akirby
If it’s being held at the factory then yes it’s most likely chip shortage, if it’s already been shipped then it’s just waiting on transportation at some point.
