Sore Subject... What are the fuel prices in your area?

We must have the most varied gas prices in a 3 mile radius in the country.

Kwik Trip is the de facto bellwether here, so the others will raise regular prices today or tomorrow.

BPs Premium I think is an error. they are across  the street from the Circle K and typically there prices are the same.

Is Norman the name of your car? 😂

Norman is my hometown. If I were ever daft enough to start naming my vehicles, I’d probably take my cue from Captain Call and name them all the Hell Bitch.

We’re supposed to get somewhere between 0 and 85 inches of snow this weekend, so I guess everyone was getting prepared.

I think that is weather forecast from the Midwest to the East Coast this weekend LOL

I'm looking at 12-18 inches in my area.

The last estimate I saw for here was for 10”-14” of snow. Northern Texas and southern Oklahoma are supposed to get hammered with ice. Snow I can deal with; ice can f**k right off.

The current forecast for Southern Connecticut is 12-18" of snow with some ice potential.

Atlanta expecting a major ice storm.  100 times worse than snow.  Expecting widespread power outages.  Probably should have installed that whole house generator.

Yes, ice is the worst.  Northern Michigan suffered through a catastrophic ice storm last March.  We had no power for nine days.  Thankfully we had a wood stove to keep the place warm.  I hope you guys escape the worst.

I’ve dealt with major ice storms, and they absolutely peg the Suck-O-Meter. Snow makes things look pretty and can make it hard to get around, but ice takes out power lines and threatens people’s lives. 0 of 10, would not recommend.

This afternoon's updated gas prices in Hamden, CT 06514 (Greater New Haven)

  •  $2.39 Regular (Cash) @ Undesignated (Former Gulf)
    • Price is not a typo! GasBuddy will not post the price which is well below the average market price in the area.
  •  $2.99 Regular (Cash) @ Citgo (Increased $0.10 from $2.89)

The Hamden Gulf station was sold about a month ago. There is still no new signage installed but the station is selling Regular grade at $2.39, well below the average market price in the area. The clerk was unable to tell me what gas brand is being sold and told me that the new owner is a company called Oasis, which I've never heard of.

I went to watch my nephew play in a soccer tournament in Norman on Saturday, and I paid $2.07/gal for E10/87 for the return trip.

ETA: his team won their first two games, got skunked 6-1 in the third, then beat the team that skunked them in the finals to win their bracket.
