At high altitudes you can use lower octane due to thinner air. 85 there is probably the same as 87 near sea level.

Motorpsychology
We must have the most varied gas prices in a 3 mile radius in the country. Kwik Trip is the de facto bellwether here, so the others will raise regular prices today or tomorrow. BPs Premium I think is an error. they are across the street from the Circle K and typically there prices are the same.

If I were ever daft enough to start naming my vehicles, I’d probably take my cue from Captain Call and name them all the Hell Bitch.

SoonerLS
I and about half of Tulsa stopped by the Sam’s on Mingo to fill up with E10/87 at $2.28/gal. We’re supposed to get somewhere between 0 and 85 inches of snow this weekend, so I guess everyone was getting prepared.

The last estimate I saw for here was for 10”-14” of snow. Northern Texas and southern Oklahoma are supposed to get hammered with ice. Snow I can deal with; ice can f**k right off. akirby
Atlanta expecting a major ice storm. 100 times worse than snow. Expecting widespread power outages. Probably should have installed that whole house generator.
fordmantpw
Ice sucks! Snow is fun! We're expecting 6-9" here in central MO. I'm hoping for 15+!

Thankfully we had a wood stove to keep the place warm. I hope you guys escape the worst.

Snow makes things look pretty and can make it hard to get around, but ice takes out power lines and threatens people’s lives. 0 of 10, would not recommend.
