decompiled
Anyone have any guesses on changes for the upcoming 2023 model year of the Aviator? I'm thinking Sync 4 and CoPilot 360 2.0 are likely. Maybe a bigger battery in the GT?
acrocks
I have been waiting 2 years for sync 4, if not, I will need to buy a different car!

What exactly are you waiting for in sync 4 vs sync 3. Just curious.
decompiled
With Sync 4, I'm hoping for a larger screen, wireless Apple CarPlay, and OTA updates.

acrocks
car steers itself in the lane on freeway as long as it detects hand on wheels every ~30 seconds really enjoyed this on our ‘21 f-150 for long drives

I'm excited for CoPilot 2.0 though because it's apparently supposed to work without hands on wheel for most interstate highways. Definitely looking forward to whenever Ford releases the MY23 ordering guide.
acrocks
welp, looks like its a tesla or volvo for me. disappointed with the decision to use a system launched in 2015 for an 23 MY aviator. feels like lincoln is trying to sell me an iphone 6 for the price of an iphone
antimony
As you all know by now, its going to be Sync 3 for now in the MY2023. I was looking for one specific thing - the Burgundy Velvet color. But looks like they are replacing that with some kind of vivid red ?
peterk9
The 2023 Aviator will NOT have Sync 4. Front and rear camera washers have been deleted. Here is a video showing the Diamond Red Tri-coat on a GT. A sharp viewer will notice the people are walking backwards.? akirby
We’ve known it was sync 3 for a couple of weeks now since the order guide was published but it is a 10” screen.
1984Poke
It's really nuts that Lincoln is slow-rolling the rollout of Sync 4 on its next-most-expensive model (the Aviator). For Lincoln to expect people to shell out $70K and up for a 2023 Aviator that has still years-old infotainment/connectivity software--especially when Sync 4 is already available on a less-expensive sibling (the Nautilus)--is just piss-poor management. Seriously, someone in Lincoln's upper hierarchy should get his or her butt kicked for this decision.
antimony
As far as I have read, a lot of the Aviator's problemas relate to the Sync system. Its possible that they are holding off on migrating to the next version ( and potentially encountering even more problems) till they have managed to stabilize on Sync3

1984Poke
Yep, the Sync 3 in my 2019 MKZ-hybrid is stable and rarely gives me problems.
blwnsmoke
sync 3 in our 2020 Explorer hasn't given us any issues. As far as removing the camera washers, this insane. We use our rear camera washer quite a bit on our Explorer.

Okladoug
The 12 way driver and passenger seats in the reserve are being downgraded to a 10 way driver and a 4 way passenger. They are continually removing standard items like fog lights and charging you for them or removing them altogether.

That's insane... does it have manual recline too?
exploder48
Actually per the 2023 Order Guide, The Driver Seat is 10-Way and the Passenger Seat is 8-Way.
