Harley Lover
Nice looking van, would like to see Ford offer more van options over here: Quote Ford unveiled the E-Transit Custom on Monday well ahead of the wider combustion-engine Custom van range scheduled for to be revealed in September. The new all-electric version of the Ford Transit Custom midsize van will have a range of 236 miles when it goes on sale next year, Ford said. Ford did not disclose technical details about the E-Transit Custom, other than revealing its range and saying that it will include a feature that will allow owners to power electric tools from the on-board battery. “Europe’s best-selling van just went all-electric,” Hans Schep, head of the company’s commercial vehicle division in Europe, Ford Pro, said in a statement. “This is a watershed moment for commercial vehicle operators in Europe, and another hugely significant realization of our Ford Pro ambitions.” Ford plan a nice range of EV vans in Europe: Quote The E-Transit Custom will be one of four full-electric vans and three new full-electric passenger cars that Ford plans to launch by 2024. The other electric vans will include a Tourneo Custom passenger version, a small Transit Courier van available from 2024 and built in Craiova in Romania, and a Tourneo passenger version of the Courier. twintornados
Wondering if there is a plan to roll out Transit Custom here in the North American market.
bzcat
Transit Custom is in no-men's land when it comes to GVWR in the US so unlikely to US sales. Not much details yet on E-Transit Custom but I assume it is RWD like E-Transit. That will make this the first RWD Transit Custom which had been FWD since introduction (the larger Transit had been available in FWD, RWD, and AWD in Europe) BTW, this appears to be a brand new van with different exterior that will carry over to the next gen ICE Transit Custom (which will also be sold as VW Transporter). Looks like it will no longer share the front clip and cab with Transit. Edited May 9, 2022 by bzcat
silvrsvt
I love the color on it and it looks pretty good for a van...

Agreed, usually design doesn't seem to be a priority for most vans, but this looks quite good. That blue also looks stellar, is that a new color? If so, I'd love to see in on something like the s650. Stray Kat
This van needs to be here in the U.S. only in hybrid AWD version with Pro Power onboard.
