Blue Oval Guide
Body shop employees at Ford's Flat Rock Assembly plant refused to wear masks yesterday (19 May), which forced Ford to shut down production. It's not clear if production has resumed. 1 2
le engineer
Do they not wear masks anyway for protection from paint/airborne debris?
Gorthek
Not usually no. Only place I've seen a mask was in a paint spray repair booth before covid. Usually the car bodies are either dipped, or sprayed by robots in ventilated booths, no workers present. Honestly I liked the masks for the fact my lungs didn't feel full of crap by the end of a week after being in either body or trim buildings. But If you work there full time, you might not realize it.
