ausrutherford
Would not be surprised if Ford reused it in Europe, but it will live on in China nonetheless.
Twin Turbo
And then they'll kill the Fiesta. Ford of Europe following the US's lead in killing "sedans". Great, so they'll selling nothing but SUVs and vans here ?

More people want trucks and crossovers and BEVs and sedans are either commodities with low profit or very low volume.

Some people have difficulties seeing the big picture or accept reality. New vehicle buyers in all the major markets prefer CUV and EV. That's proven market research and every car company have data to back this up. Buying intent for traditional sedan or even hatchback and ICE are dropping rapidly - a few % decline in interest each year adds up to a paradigm change after a model cycle. This is why most car companies are not planning to replace their ICE cars. If you lose 5% of potential buyer each year, after 6 years model cycle, you've lost 26% of the customers. The rate people are shifting from cars to CUV is probably higher than 5% a year - especially for brands like Ford that is not particularly good at making compelling appliance cars but reasonably competent at making CUVs. Or worse, low profit margin AND low volume.
