2015 Flex Limited AWD CPO - Several Issues Found

Hello,

Recently purchased a CPO 2015 Ford Flex Limited AWD.

Dealer said mileage for warranty was 12,000 - WELL THEY LIED.

It is a 'blue' CPO so only 4,000 mile coverage.

We found several issues in last 2 months, hoping these have solutions?

1. Seat belt is 'catchy', not smooth.

2. Center front console has a broken lid latch.

3. 'Whistling' noise when at highway speed from front pillars area.

Anyhow, spouse is very happy to be in a Flex again - the 4Runner we had was too 'truck' for her.

If anyone has any tips on fixing these, please let me know, I don't think Ford will help me.

I've had a Flex for the last 3 years and I can tell you that noise at the a-pillar is pretty normal. I've never heard a prolonged whistling sound but a more upright windshield like that is naturally going to be noisier than one that has a steeper rake to it like my Fusion has.

That said if you do hear a prolonged whistling you can use a rubber mallet or your hand to check and make sure the plastic appliqués on either side of the windshield are fully seated.

Giving them the benefit of the doubt, they may have been confused as a Gold CPO would've gotten a 12 mo/12,000 mi "Comprehensive Limited Warranty", as opposed to the much shorter 4 mo/4,000 mi you got as a Blue CPO.  Having two tiers is asking for the salespeople to get confused...  Still not great that they mislead you.

The seatbelt may have gotten twisted in either the door pillar or the recoil on the floor, or wound off track. Pull the belt all the way out and slowly guide it back to fully retracted.
