Class 2 Trailer Tow Package 2023

My dealer notified me my hitch reciever will be 1 1/4". Is this true? Previous years have had 2"

With the Class II towing limit of 3500#, there's really no reason for a 2" receiver.

Where did your dealer get that from?  The order guide indicates no change to the package, nor the order code.

I've seen nothing to indicate any size changes to the Escape either. I like 2" because that's what all my receivers are.

I asked her to verify that it was 2" like last years model. She said the only option on the order sheet was a 1 1/4...

It is a class II which is normally 1.25”

Probably 2", ordered my Transit Connect with factory towing package and it came with 2" even though it's only rated for 2000 pounds.

2020-2022 Escape is 2" per Ford...

The hitch on our '20 is a 2".

Now that you mention it I don’t think I’ve ever seen a Ford factory receiver less than 2”.
