Warning -- Warning

The CFO sends out warnings to the Ford salaried team members. Pack up all your suit cases now and hit the turnstile or possibly leave a big suit case behind next year.

Hmm the reason for this warning is the possibilities of a market dive. I`m sure the bottom line that the CFO is glued to has some barring on the warning, also.

Then why no warnings from the IUAW? Market dives and bottom line will effect VEBA, Ford/UAW Retirement Benefit`s and oh yeah negotiations.

Wait never mind, I forgot the IUAW is busy training new EBoard members....

Has Ford ever stopped falling into the black hole since Mulally left?

"Ford CEO Farley, tells retired engineers fixing quality will 'take several years'. Why discuss quality with retired engineers? Kinda like talking to 5 year olds about unicorns...... maybe he`s begging them to come back?

IMO, the quality issues start at the top.  When you literally force cost reductions through without following through with complete testing, and then wonder why there are quality issues?  When you go with lowest cost supplier no matter what condition the supplier is in, what do you think is going to happen?  When you literally layoff your most experienced engineering staff, who is going to handle issues that develop?

Quality is and has to always be driven from the top down.  The folks at the top control the purse strings, thus they control the quality.  IMHO, in my 35 years with the company our quality tended to improve when the CEO came up through the engineering side, and slipped away rapidly when the CEO came from the Finance or Sales side.

Ford should be hiring or promoting the best employees in their fields , not based on diversity , inclusion , etc.

Everyone at work should be working and leave the other personal stuff at the door.

When you hire or promote people with no real positive experience or higher level of excellence nothing good happens.
