2023 Super Duty OK to Buy (OKTB)

Recommended Posts

It looks like a lot of trucks have been built and are now waiting for the OKTB so they can be shipped.

Please only post what you know of the OKTB and if you do not work for Ford cite your reference.

There was a call with dealers today; Tim Long McAuthur did a quick video on some of the content. He specifically talks about the OKTB situation and says they were told late Feb/early March - "any day now" is expected. He talks about this just after the 1:00 mark. Video:

Word from a KTP employee on private FB forum dedicated to 22/23 production/scheduling (and others have subsequently chimed in that claim separate sources with same info) that the plant got the OK to start shipping. From what I gather, this means they are going to start pulling built trucks out of 'storage' back to the plant to run them through programming and inspection and begin moving them out.

OK to start shipping is for gas trucks only.  We will start processing them on 3/4.

On all diesels, or just the new high output? If on all diesels, why? I thought that the standard 6.7 was the same engine as last year?

Word has been EPA certification hasn't gone thru yet on the 6.7 this year. This would seem to jive with 7.3s starting to move first. I would speculate that with the oktb passing that once this happens they would be clear to ship, but no confirmation of this anywhere.

Postings on private FB groups this morning from people who work at KTP indicated they got the OK on diesels yesterday. There's been multiple diesel tracker screenshots posted in the last 24 hours showing built AND shipped.
