Financing ( which includes leasing ) is fine but rebates are usually the result of overproduction which shouldn’t happen with orders.  I think people have gotten used to paying MSRP provided it’s a competitive price.  People who only buy when given big rebates  are not the buyers Ford wants nor do they want vehicles that have to be sold that way.

F150 might be the exception.  But yes I think it could work.
