SuperNanaMel
We had 7000km on our Ford Edge (got it last August) when we left Canada to drive 2500km to Florida Keys; 5 days later, drove another 500km to The Villages, Florida. Car drove and braked perfectly all that time. Washed the car about a week later and, next time we drove it, felt thumping on braking. Proceeded to get worse each time we drove it. Took it to a Ford dealership who said there was rust on the rotors so bad that the rotors were gauged by it. Dealer claimed not covered by warranty. They "cleaned" the rotors and said it was safe to drive and would improve with driving. We're now on our way home to Canada, and the thumping is getting progressively worse on braking (luckily, not much braking on the hwy). Does this sound legit to anyone??? transitman
The dealership should have noticed, but could it be a warped rotor?
