Dlcorbett
Doubt it. Every expedition remodel has been criticized as just a refresh since 2003. The only year the remodel seemed like a true remodel was 2018 for the 4th gen, and even then, people critiqued it for biting the f150s apple too much for the interior, and not changing the suspension components. Ironically, the 2nd and 3rd gens changed the suspension a bunch but not the body or powertrains enough. Ford seems staunch that the 25s are remodels, hence the 5th gen moniker. I'm sure the my28 refresh will just tone up the head and taillights some to look similar to whatever the pick ups look like. I still dnt like that they pushed these innovative or popular features heavy, was successful with them on the truck platform, and the customer base is damn near begging for it, but they refuse to add it to the suv based on the platform, which would ultimately help raise sales. It was like this for the 5.0, 2.7, hybrid, and also features like on board scales, recline seat, flip console, second row flip down arm rest, on board generator and some others as well. I think that’s a fair assessment. Perhaps it’s aKirby‘s suggestion that Ford is content with the level of sales they have with the expedition due to favoring production capacity for the super duty, which makes more money. I just can’t think of any other reason why they would put such little effort into this model, with exception of the 2018 model, which I would’ve classified as an all new model. I just don’t foresee the 2025 model significantly increasing sales, when there are several other new models out there that have more features. I’m not suggesting the 2025 is a POS, or necessarily ugly, but it wouldn’t be at the top of my list of full-size SUVs to purchase, even as a staunch Ford guy. That really pains me to say that. I'm hoping that ford surprises us tomorrow at the reveal, going off the navigator, they completely dropped the ball. So many features left out, just plain ignoring their customer base, and investing in things noone asked for which is a shame because the 4th gen version did so much for the company and their perception in a positive way...why not capitalize on it. The lincoln reveal came and went, and if the flagship was so bleh in terms of excitement, can't expect much from the everyday version. Don't get me wrong, I love the new navigator, and that's still the suv I'm leaning towards In The near future, however my wife asked me why I didn't want another expedition and I told her "it hasn't been revealed, but the navigator doesn't have much added to it that would've made it better but the look. If the expedition doesn't look nearly as good, there's no point to it". I'm finding it hard to get excited about any vehicle in the segment at this point. The gms look good and ppl love em, but we find their interiors to be off in terms of comfort and convenience. The jeeps have better interiors, space, and the best on road refinement in the segment, but its ugly on most trims, and reliability is still lacking. Toyota should be ashamed of what they did to the sequoia, nuff said. The Germans are way too small, no better than our current cx9. My wife doesn't like the new armada at all. I'm waiting for our local infiniti dealer to get more qx80s so we can look at them, that's the only other vehicle Id buy in the segment. I typically would agree with your assertion regarding the GM interiors, but their recent refreshes may have solved some of those issues so it might be worth another look. Regarding the QX 80, we had one and I found the interior quality to be decent however, I could never find the ideal driving position because the seat would not go back far enough for me. There was also a lot of engine noise, which may be solved by their 3.5 L instead of their V-8. Additionally, the thing felt like it was built like a tin can. The doors were light, unlike my F150, which sounds like a tank when you close the doors. All of those issues may have been addressed in the redesign though. Toyota didn’t miss an opportunity capitalize with their half assed effort. We are no longer in the market for full-size SUVs, due to my wife looking for smaller SUVs, but if we were, it would likely be a GMC Denali. I’m glad we’re not buying a full-size SUV, because all of my friends would be giving me such a rash of crap, lol. I always blame my wife though, when we buy a non- Ford product🤣

Also, except for the escalade, the seats are always hard. I haven't sat in a tahoe, but I've driven the denali a few times and we felt the same each time about the seats not feeling comfy. Also, my wife hates the brake feel too. I've seen they moved many of the buttons from the left side of the steering wheel, which I appreciate because i can't stand the left side button cluster personally, there's no way to know what your pressing without looking. Also, I dont like the tumble 2nd row seats either. We've had the current armada, and your right, the seat is way too close to the wheel. The new one has a lot more 1st row legroom so that may have been addressed. From the test drives, the engine from the v6 is still prevalent. My wife actually liked the armada we had, and the issues we had seemed to be addressed with the new one, which is why I wanted her to drive one. I'm mulling over a pick up truck since we have a 3 row with the cx9. If we can get a good buy out when the lease is up, I'd like to keep it as it's a good car. We like the size, comfort and safety of the fs suvs especially on the highway. The only truck that Interests me though is the ram 1500. I would like to drive the Sierra, but is a little too old school.

If you have not driven trucks before, I think you will be very pleased with the experience. I drive Ford trucks and we are on a Ford site so I’m going to suggest you drive one of those as well. Ford knows what they are doing with trucks.
Dlcorbett
My dad always had a pickup and a family suv. He had a ram 1500 and for the 10 yrs he owned it, was amazing. It's actually one of the reasons I like fs suvs so much, theyre just pickups with more family friendly ride and space, until recently. Now they feel like luxury cars lol and in some instances ride better than their suv counterpart. I rele liked the pre refresh f150. I got to drive one with the 5.0 and liked it alot. I'd personally get the 2.7 as it seems to have the least amount of issues, but you couldn't get that engine with kr or platinum trim. The hybrid seems nice though their still some teeth g issues they fixed with the refresh. However, the refresh to me is a downgrade in terms of looks. If I get an f150, I would probably look for a good deal on a 22 or 23.

Dlcorbett
Tonight's the night, we are we expecting with this reveal? Is there anything that intrigues yall, any features you hope they reveal? Are yall just looking to be disappointed? Hopefully, they reveal a hybrid of some kind or atleast different engine options. Can't think of too much else because the navigator didn't receive anything new

Can't think of too much else because the navigator didn't receive anything new With them allowing it to run around basically uncovered for some time now, there's not a whole lot we haven't seen. The biggest reveal things for me will be: 1) full interior shots with answers to the dash screen question - do lower models get half a screen and upper models get a full one, or are they all half?) 2) how they're treating the liftgate panel - are all models black, or was that just the Tremor model? There continue to be rumblings of a hybrid model, but recent reports put that for '28 - I also think had it been ready, Navigator would've been the reveal for that.
