Terrible Seats

Recommended Posts

Putting this here so maybe I can save someone else. The seats in the Navigator (2024) are terrible. There is a ridge between the lower and upper areas of the seats. No amount of playing with the settings can fix this. I've spent 3 hours over a few days just sitting in my Navigator trying to get a combination that makes the seat tolerable. If you test drive one and feel that ridge and think it's just some setting, it isn't. It will be like that forever. It's bad enough that I will be getting rid of a 2024 Navigator with less than 1,000 miles on it.

I have done 14 hour road trips in a Tacoma and Sienna no issue. I've done several hour trips in a Ram 1500 no issue. I've disced, shredded, cut/raked hay for over 12 hours in a Massey Furguson that is 30 years old, no issue. 30-40 minutes in my Navigator I start getting back pain.

I love the vehicle other than the seats. But if I can't stand to sit in it none of the rest matters.

Yeah I've spent about 3 hours just playing with it. Both the system lumbar/bolster and the controls on the door. It's the spot between the two sections, and there is nothing that controls it. The bolsters don't go back enough for my personal liking but that is mild and doesn't cause any actual issues. Love the thigh extender. It's just that one bit pressing into my back.

If it wouldn't ruin the trade in I'd try just cutting that section of cushioning off.
