What would you choose?

Hey all,

Currently in the market for a super duty and just need some input on what you guys think would be better long term.

Been looking at getting either a f250 or f350 SRW in a lariat trim. We currently have a 24ft camper but want to upgrade to a bigger one with slides. Additionally I have a small flat bed trailer that I’ve been using to tow my bronco to some trails. I’m in an f150 and frankly it struggles to do everything i need it to do.

I’d like to daily this truck and have confidence when towing. I’m sold on getting the 7.3 godzilla (don’t need the diesel and it’s too expensive).

I really like the tremors but the small fuel tank has me concerned bc it’s going to be a gas guzzler, and while i’m not overly concerned about fuel economy, I do want this to be my do everything truck. Daily, towing, and moderate offroading

So what would you guys do? Should I get the 350 for the better payload? And if I get a 350, should I skip the tremor and get the 8 foot bed for the bigger fuel tank?

 Thanks

You can replace the fuel tank.  I believe the gas replacement is 58 gallons, aftermarket.  I love my tremor, but I have the diesel which gets excellent fuel economy, even towing my 32 ft travel trailer.  There's a diesel 60 gallon upgrade available for it from S&B, but I haven't really needed it.  If I ever decide to drive to Alaska, then I will get it.

For drivability, the 8' bed makes it more difficult to live with every day.  These trucks are long enough with the 6-3/4' bed (IMO)!  But, if you need the extra range of the larger tank, that may be more important to you than the maneuverability.

Personally, I say go for the F350 for the extra payload.  They're the same trucks underneath, but the resale will be there for the F350.  That's what I drive.

I don't know if you can get larger replacement gas tanks aftermarket.  I know you can for the diesel trucks, but not sure on the gassers.
