SheaGUSArmy
Afternoon all. Got a few issues that I could use some help with. Been about 30yrs since I had a Ford truck and I just got a 2005 F-350 Dually 6.0L as a package with a 5th wheel RV. The truck was well kept and maintained. But it sat for about a year after Hurricane Ian. Some things I have noticed that I cannot seem to pin down are why I am here. If anyone has a clue, I could use the help. My wife and I live full time in the RV and are going to be travelling alot when I retire in March. First is an odd vibration around 50mph. More present when letting off the throttle. It's not very noticeable and does not change with the wheel speed which leaves out tire balance (which I am going to have done anyway). My first thought was U-joints. Next was the oil gauge and message. Once in a blue moon, at random when stopping at a light/stop sign/etc, the gauge will zero and low oil pressure will show on the info display. I know the oil is full as I check it weekly. Guessing bad sensor? And finally, but not really that important, is the damn radio. Comes on, picks up stations, all works..........but no sound. Gets old singing to myself LOL Anyway, again any help would be appreciated. Last Ford truck I owned was a 71 F100 and it was alot less complicated. George C
Check carrier bering if your truck has one. If not, replace u joints. oil? I might seriously think about installing a new oil pump. Edited July 28, 2024 by George C
