Bob Rosadini
Well I stumbled on a a You Tube video the other day of a 23' 150 that was captured on a surveillance camera. Suddenly parking light comes on. Then a bit later the horn blows a couple of times. Owner finally comes out and opens door and a wisp of smoke comes out-he leaves I assume to call 911. He comes back out a couple of minutes later and smoke is then billowing out. About 9 minutes after light/horn issue FD shows up but by then truck is toast. Interesting never saw fire coming out from hood/engine-all internal in the cab-other then a few flames that came up from hood at cowl initially. Which brings me to my 23, which just hit year old mark and 9000 miles. I'm in garage tonight, keys are sitting in truck-but not ignition. Suddenly I hear a relay click a couple of times. Wait a bit and it does it again a few times. So I park it outside for the night. Call my son and he says.."Oh my Bronco -22, and Explorer-23 are always doing that ..walk by them and relays start clicking". I will say if I have the fob in my pocket for my MKZ and I walk into garage, it picks that up and parking lights come on and all that but this 150 doesn't have keyless start. Any thoughts-opinions? I will say I got a message that system was going to do some sort of upgrade the other night. Seems the only by product of that is I could not get Waze back up on screen-working on my I phone but not on screen. Once again this old guy has to ask my sons to come over to help me out🤔

akirby
It’s usually the fuel pump priming itself.

Hah that is the way I feel about the Lincoln - I describe it as a dog seeing his master grabbing the leash of its hook!😎

Once again this old guy has to ask my sons to come over to help me out🤔 I wouldn't worry about relays clicking. My maverick clicks every time you drive it. I assume your f-150 is a power boost hybrid. Apparently that relay sound, at least in Ford hybrids, is the sound of coolant being pumped and circulated around the hybrid battery and other systems to cool it down. It's apparently one of the many systems Ford has to ensure their hybrids last a long time.
