Bob Rosadini
My 23 F-150 is approaching 10K miles. Great truck but have had a few situations where when lifting on accelerator, RPM's do not immediately drop off-acting like cruise is engaged which it is not. Throttle also at times does not respond as it should when coming from a stop. Need more pressure on accelerator and if you are not on pavement I will have wheel spin. Then this AM I was pulling into traffic and had a surge, required me to jump on brakes. Time has come for me to make an appointment on Monday for sure to bring it in, but any thoughts? I'm always a skeptic when I read about someone launching into a store front as "car just accelerated" but.....??
akirby
Could be a throttle position sensor. It is normal for it to keep rpm up while coasting downhill - that’s the aggressive deceleration fuel shutoff.
