New Member - Ford Retiree and Mystery Author!

Just a quick hello!

 

Hi,

I worked at Ford Credit WHQ and then at Ford Motor WHQ in Public Relations (1987-1997) - mostly writing/editing annual reports, magazines and newsletters - but also on the road with the rest of the Ford PA team on a nationwide publicity "Blitz" for the 1992 Mustang.

My assigned cities were Knoxville and Chattanooga. We visited the Ford Tennessee Glass Plant with Bill and he was a huge hit!

To prep me for the work, the head of the engineering team thought I should drive one of the Ecostars home and back to work. It was the first - and last - time I drove a stick shift. 

I was also Manager of Executive Communications for the Ford 2000 initiative - known to the Ford 2000 team as "Heaven on Seven"; I edited the Ford 2000 Grapevine electronic newsletter for execs.
