Tailgate Removal Kit - 2025 Edition

We bought our new 2025 F350 DRW with the camper package specifically so we could mount a truck camper.  When we picked up the truck from the dealer three weeks ago, the slide-in camper data sheet was in the glove box but there was no tailgate removal kit anywhere in the truck.  The parts department at the dealer says the kit is not an orderable item and the salesperson says they will try to find a kit in another truck.  We cannot mount the camper without removing the tailgate so this is not something we can just live without and so far, no one has been able to locate one. 

 

I've seen other discussion threads on this same topic and people have posted photos and part numbers for a kit for prior years, but I haven't seen any postings specifically about the 2025 SD.  Can anyone provide a P/N and possibly a photo of what this looks like for the 2025 so we can pass the info along to our dealer? 

 

Editing my original post to add that this truck is a Platinum trim level with full power tailgate.

My 2019 F350 XLT Crew Cab Dually long bed has a removable tailgate that is easy to unplug, release the cables and lift off (clumsily). The only additional items in the glove box were plug stubs to plug in where the cords were unplugged to prevent contamination. Maybe your truck has a much fancier tailgate that mine.

I'm replying to my own post to say that we were finally able to get the tailgate removal kit from the dealer.  For anyone else who may be searching for this, the number listed on the package is PC3Z-13A576-A 1X.  I forgot to take a photo of the contents but it did what we needed it to do.
