GM Oshawa is losing their 3rd shift later this year so there is some impact.

Yes and since they make light duty and heavy Duty Silverados, that probably makes sense for Canadian market.

This is why I hope that Ford modifies its plans slightly of Oakville and does the same even if knock down kits.

Maybe they will, I won’t be shocked at all if the plan changes again. Construction is full steam ahead and the stamping plant concrete pad is almost done being poured and soon the building skeleton will be going up.  As of now IF nothing else changes the word is stamping will be 3 shifts and remainder of plant one shift with the possibility of body and paint to have 2 shifts. I heard the plant will be able to do both chassis cab and pick up super duty. We shall see any optimism I have is guarded at best.

Mach E was first shown in Nov 2019 and went on sale Dec 2020. It needs at least an exterior refresh. Ford always seems to do this with their vehicles.

11k expeditions is really good. Have they been selling in that volume regularly or is that a new trend? Bronco at 14k is good too, especially with how high the prices are. Wish they did a break out by trim. I see them all the time on the road now.

The Mach E and Bronco Sport came out around the same time-right around when COVID hit.

The Bronco Sport had a very light refresh for 2025-the Interior was updated with a larger screen and grills might have been changed slightly, so it hasn't gotten much different in the looks dept...I'd say as much as the Mach E has changed, using the Rally as an example. The 2025 Maverick had a huge change to its front fascia vs these products.

In my work parking lot, we have 4-5 Broncos now in it, and 3 in Cactus Grey, including mine.

One has a set of terrible looking donks and a sand colored wrap on it that looks horrible to me

One is a 2025 Wildtrack with the piano black hardtop on it that looks nice!

While it went on sale in December of 20 it was very limited availability. Mine was the first Mach-E my dealer sold, and it was June of 21.  The Bronco (T6) has had fewer updates than the Mach-E and is a similar vintage.

I think the bronco is a different beast though. It will probably be more like the wrangler which stays looking relatively the same forever. Mach-e on the other hand needs to stay fresh to compete with all the competition out there.

We were supposed to get a 2nd gen mach-e in 2026 but it sounds like that's no longer the plan. Instead it seems like the plan is giving the mach-e mild updates and tweaks, I'm guessing we get a CE1 based mach-e 2nd gen in 2028 or so.

Since it's Ford we're talking about, it's likely been canceled, revived, canceled again, and now will be out next week before it's canceled as the vehicles are rolling into the showroom lol.

I'd have to do a deeper dive into the numbers, but IIRC, Expedition had a fairly significant uptick with the 2018 model and its '22 MCE and has remained pretty steady since, IIRC.  Through the first few months of this year, it's been down because of the model changeover, but now we're seeing the 2025 models roll in with the new design and sales are going up.....imagine that, keeping a product fresh will result in higher sales.......who'd have thought???

Mach E has had more updates under the skin vs. exterior or interior.  Not much has changed design wise for it aside from the Rally version.  I know there are some minor changes to the '25, but they probably should've done a bit more.

I also think they should've done more on the Bronco Sport's refresh on the exterior, as I feel it doesn't have the same....design power?.....as the Bronco itself.  In other words, Bronco gets a pass/longer design cycle while still being fresh vs. the Bronco sport in the compact segment where buyers will be more fickle.  That said, maybe they want to keep the Bronco/Bronco Sport aligned design-wise so that one isn't ahead of the other with the overall theme?

Yeah, I've seen a couple shadow black painted tops at the dealer and on the road, and I'm jealous of them since that's what I originally ordered........BUT, I've very much enjoyed having the car vs. waiting for that top.

As others have said, Bronco (proper) is sort of it's own beast, though, and can survive on an extended timeline similar to Wrangler.  I'd push for 4/8 refresh/redesign, but they definitely shouldn't go more than 5/10.  The "beauty" of Bronco's design, though, is that they could probably give it new quarter panels all around fairly easily while retaining the same body and even doors to keep it fresh but keep costs down.  It'll be interesting to see where they go design-wise with it.

The did give it the new digital gauge cluster (which it should've had to begin with) across the board and finally rear air vents for '25, but otherwise no updates.
