The article is behind a paywall. Can someone quote a couple sentences so we have an idea of the intent of this article and post?

It’s still readable on my ipad behind the pop up.  Here is a different summary.

Quote

A victory for Republicans and a step closer to getting a Biden administration ban on gas cars in California cancelled.

FOX News is reporting that the House of Representatives voted 246-164, with 35 Democrats to roll back an Environmental Protection Agency rule that let California have emission standards stricter than the Government requires.

The idea at the time was to increase sales of electric and other zero emission vehicles and to have no gas cars by 2035.

Former President Biden approved the waiver for California a month before he left office.

It's Ironic that the party favoring states' rights seems so fixated on taking away states' rights.

Why people outside of California care so much about what California does?

Because it results in automakers having to follow 2 completely different standards.

They have the fifth largest gdp in the world by themselves. What they do reaches your life to some degree.

It's ironic that the "pro-choice" party doesn't favor the rights of individuals to choose what they would like to purchase.
