Triggerman970
Retired and moved to Grand Junction, CO in 2015 to enjoy motorcycle touring. Our low mileage 2010 Lincoln MKS purchased new on Kauai (hence low 69K mileage) suffered a bloody nose in a local Safeway parking lot. Even though drivable, insurance totaled it and shortened our rental car benefit to only 7 days🙄. With only one week to find a replacement, purchased a mostly good looking Platinum Dune Pearl 2016 MKX Reserve with 101,370 miles. Very pleased with it after polishing out the "cloudy" headlamps and replacing the TPMS sensors. Our only disappointment is a small oil leak under the front of the engine. May have to live with that as our dealer quoted an incredibly high price to to remedy. Otherwise, performs and handles very nicely with the twin-turbo 2.7 powerplant🤩. twintornados
Did the airbags deploy on the MKS? If not...should've just gotten it fixed and moved on....
akirby
Nice! You’ll love it. We had a 2016 MKX and now a 2022 nautilus.
Triggerman970
Perhaps .............thanks for your suggestion. No deployment of the airbags which confirms low speed involved. First accident/insurance claim ever so no experience. Collision shop advised additional damage might be discovered as they disassembled damaged front end. Worried about "can of worms" discoveries. I was aware driver-side front strut was going bad so made decision to attempt upgrade with a newer vehicle. Paid Ford dealer $200 for a full inspection of the 2016 MKX and used results to negotiate down purchase price. Turned out their inspection missed the costly later discovery of a turbo allegedly going bad. Making the best of things and moving on.
