2026 Escape?

Recommended Posts

There's 10 pages in the main Ford section.  Ford has given the Escape a 1 year reprieve.  So there will be a 2026.  It looks like some models will be Hybrid power trains by default.

Now that the order guide for the 2026 Escape is out, I wonder what the order/build timeframe would look like.

Also, in the order guide, it mentioned the following:

What exactly does this mean?  Is FordPass Connect not available?  I thought they had both FordPass Connect and an onboard 4G Modem?

Wouldn't mind getting the final model having previously owned a 2007 Mariner, 2014 Escape, and 2018 Escape.

Just remember, Hyundai Santa Fe looked like this in 2018 before the remodel...

Then, it was redesigned to look like this in 2024....

It is only 2.2 inches longer than the Santa Fe it replaced....I can see Escape doing the same thing on C2 Global using Maverick chassis for it's start.

So I have a question regarding the Escape with 1.5L and AWD.  How does the engine perform?

Thanks!

My wife got a 2024 Bronco Sport to replace her 2017 Escape with the 2.0L Ecoboost and AWD. It has the same powertrain and there isn't a huge difference in performance. Gas mileage is much better-she was doing about 23 MPG with the Escape and now gets about 27, which equates out to cutting out 1-2 gas station refills a month for her.

I drove a new Escape with 1.5L and AWD from Martinsville, IN to Anderson, IN and back. Performance is OK. It ain't a speed demon, but it ain't a slug either. Just make sure you plan ahead if you need to pass at high speeds.

Fuel economy is good, the Escape got 38 mpg on that trip which was almost all freeway including a big ass traffic jam on I-69 southbound from Pendleton to Noblesville

Her Bronco Sport has the 2.0L w/AWD or 1.5L w/AWD?  I had a 2018 Escape Titanium with the 2.0L w/ AWD and liked the performance a lot.  Just trying to get a sense of how a 1.5L w/ AWD may be compared to that.

Thanks!

Girlfriend has a 2024 Escape ST-Line with the 1.5L....it scoots along just fine....you are not going to win the Daytona 500, but it will get you there with a decent amount of verve.....

The Escape had the 2.0l Ecoboost and the Bronco Sport she has now has the 1.5L Ecoboost. Performance accelerating from say 10-60 MPH is roughly the same. It is slightly slower at higher speeds.
