Old Ford parts resources

Wouldn't it be nice if when Ford is discontinuing parts support for one of their vehicles that they provide resources to 2nd source parts?

I have a 97 Mustang Cobra that is nearly impossible to find parts for, granted it's a bit of a unicorn (try finding an OEM fuel pump, I dare ya) but still it would be nice to not be tossed to the wolves after a few years. My 2014 F150 is quickly approaching the same problem.

You consider nearly 30 years to be a "few years"?

LOL What can I say I am the original owner and bought it brand new...

Although when I was registering it this year the lady told me next year I can put antique plates on it LOL.

 

Obviously it's so far out there that you have to get creative although there are a handful of place like LMR.com that cater to the Mustang and Lightnings but my F150 is 11 years old now and parts are beginning to get hard to find.
