I think it's just that they changed agencies. They've also introduced a new global marketing strategy.... (see below) https://fordauthority.com/2025/09/ford-wipes-past-content-from-major-instagram-accounts/ With social media becoming more and more important not only among regular users, but also, companies that sell products, it’s no surprise that Ford has shifted its content creation strategy in recent years. In fact, back in 2023, the automaker moved its social AOR account for Ford Blue back to a WPP agency team from VaynerMedia in a new partnership with Wieden+Kennedy, which handles much of the automaker’s advertising efforts, though VaynerMedia continued to handle the Ford Pro social business. Now, Ford has made another big social media related move. That move, as first spotted by the folks at Reddit, is deleting quite a lot of past content from Ford’s major Instagram accounts, including the official Ford page, as well as ones dedicated to the Bronco, Ford trucks, EVs, and the Mustang. It is worth noting that quite a few other pages remain unchanged, such as Ford’s Instagram pages for Australia, Europe, Canada, Mexico, and the freshly-reborn Ford Racing division. As for why Ford opted to wipe much of this content from its Instagram pages, well, it’s possible that the automaker may be handing off those duties to another company. It’s worth noting that Ford Authority received embargoed materials for the recently-unveiled 2026 Ford F-150 Lightning STX from an outside company and not The Blue Oval itself, as is usually the case. Thus, it’s worth speculating that Ford may be outsourcing some of its external communications operations, at least, in the U.S. New global marketing strategy: Ford Launches First Global Marketing Push in a Decade With “Ready Set Ford” - Autoblog The Detroit Free Press https://youtu.be/7qxMxXY8v18 Edited September 10 by rmc523

Texasota
This again reminds me of a targeted marketing email that I recently got from Ford: “Enjoying your hybrid Escape or Corsair? Stay tuned” It seems like some significant announcements are coming. Edited September 10 by Texasota
fordmantpw
I think we're going to see some info regarding EREVs.

Or they're hoping escape buyers will jump into the truck, but that's a long shot imo.

My first thought was they could soon be announcing a hybrid Bronco Sport but that would not explain the Escape and Corsair being lumped together. I don't see Corsair buyers moving to a BS. We are snowbirds and the Escape PHEV meets our needs perfectly, a CE1 replacement would not.
tbone
I’m not holding my breath on this. The only announcements I see are how this and that model’s redesign is being delayed by yet another year or more, or a model is getting cancelled. I can’t recall the last time I have seen a concept vehicle from Ford, showing a new model or design trend. Frankly, there has been little for me to get excited about for quite a while with Ford. Perhaps some are excited about CE1, however that isn’t a class of vehicle I’m interested in. From strategic perspective, CE1 is relevant though, so I get it. sullynd
I doubt it’s CE1. Unveiling CE1 would be crazy. If they were this close to being unveiled it makes the whole CE1 announcement WITHOUT SHOWING ANYTHING an even bigger mistake. It was literally a month ago. If the vehicles were so close but couldn’t be pulled ahead ONE MONTH or the announcement held ONE MONTH then Fords a bigger mess than we know. My guess is the Chinese EREV/BEV Bronco badged CUV will replace Escape. (Possibly built in Cuautitlán or OAC?)

Concepts that don’t actually get built are a waste of resources. They’re fun to talk about but that’s about it. What we need is more pre production previews of actual vehicles.

Affordable Ford SUV To Fill Focus Sized Gap In Europe: Report This also comes after The Blue Oval discontinued the Focus and Fiesta in the U.S., with the latter already gone and the former set to go away in Europe later this year, too. We’ve known for some time that Ford now plans to bring smaller, more affordable cars back to Europe by 2027 or so, but now, it’s also reportedly working on an affordable SUV for that same market. According to Autocar, Ford has big plans to “shake up” its European business in the coming years, all with an eye toward regaining the market share it has lost there in recent years. This strategy includes not only rolling out new, more affordable models, but also, boosting the company’s EV sales mix. One of those new models will reportedly be a new mid-size crossover due to arrive in 2027 that will be built at the Valencia Assembly plant in Spain, which currently produces the Kuga and has plenty of extra capacity at the moment. While the Ford Escape is set to exit production in the U.S. later this year, this report indicates that the Kuga (which is a rebadged Escape, essentially) will not be going away – rather, it will reportedly be sold alongside the new crossover as a separate model line. It will also reportedly be offered with both hybrid and all-electric powertrains, much like the Puma. Both it and the Kuga will allegedly be close in terms of size and share key components – including the C2 platform, likely – to cut down on costs. 3 hours ago, sullynd said: I doubt it’s CE1. Following the occam's razor, why not the Bronco Sport? Outside of the need to be a HEV, that would be the simplest thing to do and it is unique for the EU. What we need is more pre production previews of actual vehicles. But who's to say it needs to be a physical design concept that costs millions of dollars to make? Ford could just release 3D models and virtual concepts. The cost to do this would be incredibly low, and it would still serve a similar purpose to a physical model, showing a new design to gauge consumer feedback. I don't really care if the concepts are physical, or digital, I just believe Ford should be more transparent about it's product designs instead of hiding them until the last minute.

Perhaps you’re onto something that might coincide with the new European model you referenced. I would love to be shocked by an announcement of a new model coming out within the next six months, but not two years from now. It would be nice to talk about something other than delayed refreshes/redesigned and recalls. Edited September 11 by tbone
