Meanwhile, Ford lets Explorer go on for a few more years before a redesign.

Meanwhile Kia completely ignores full size trucks, SUVs and commercial trucks and vans.

i know people don’t like hearing this but corporate budgets are a zero sum game.  If you allocate funding and resources to one area another has to get cut.  Right now F series and Ford Pro along with CE1 are the priorities.

Hyundai/Kia has those new EV vans.

Ford has definitely screwed the pooch product cadence wise.

Agreed but you can’t cherry pick one model or one market segment.  Kia has more money to spend on utilities and cars because it doesn’t build 1 million full size trucks and SUVs.

Ok, but Kia also doesn't have the profit from the 1M trucks/SUVs either, yet is still able to put out refreshes/redesigns AND an array of new EV products like clockwork.

Because they have good low cost platforms shared with Hyundai so they can focus more on top hats ands new EVs.

Had Ford moved to global c2, cd6 and T6 15 years ago and not wasted so much money on interim/duplicate platforms and not been so aggressive with ecoboost and done hybrids across the board and started ce1 earlier then Ford would be in a better position to do more frequent refreshes.

I’m liking a lot of the designs I’m seeing out of Kia lately. This telluride looks nice, as does the ev9, k4, k5, etc. I like the route Kia and Hyundai take with their refreshes. Seems like everyday we see something new from them on the auto websites.

This Telluride looks better, but I'm the opposite on a lot of the latest Hyundai/Kia products - they're going with that origami 80s futuristic look that looks cool for 5 minutes and then just looks old/weird.  Their latest wheel designs are by FAR the ugliest in the industry too.

There are some things I like about it, and some that I don't.

Side and rear look great. The front is the low point for me. It’s not bad, but I think they could have done a better job. Interior looks good but it’s the same as all Kia interiors.

The front would work really well on the supposed truck Kia wants to bring here. It has that wide, muscular and assertive look to it. Much better than their overseas truck which is a WTF design.
