I guess it's possible if they reveal multiple things.

But this screenshot just looks like another Mustang (2-door) derivative

Am I nuts or does the rear end of that, the overall profile, look higher and boxier than the coupe? It could just be a spoiler under there that's messing with the lines, but it's hard to tell. It just looks a little more upright to me.

I think its the spoiler causing to look that way...esp if their is cover over it.

I’d be excited for the 4 door mustang, off road mustang, or a new GT. Don’t really care to see a new trim on the regular mustang.

You're gonna get 17 more variants of the s650 and you're gonna like it goddamnit lol. In all seriousness, this is a little bit of what I was concerned about with the GTD. When that car was first shown off, I had concerns it would make getting excited for future s650 variants more difficult because we were already used to the most hardcore version right out of the gate.

I really didn't think anything of it, because it has heavy camo over the whole thing (there are other views of the front wheel area that also show heavy camo).  I just figured they put something over it to make that shape.

It'd be nice to see one of those 3, but I think it'll just be the latter, which will still be cool, but not "exciting".

I haven’t been excited about any version of S650 so far to be honest with you.

I think it's a combination of things, the long shelf life of the s550, and the fact that the s650 is basically s550 v2. I want to be excited, and I am excited about some variants, the GTD is cool, and the mustang raptor renderings I've seen look sick, but the design overall is starting to feel a bit tired.

I'd love if Ford did like a mustang concept or something like Chevy did with the c9 concepts, just some fresh to get excited about.

It would be neat if they revealed that, or something else alongside the next cobra/boss. I think a lot of us just want to see something new that isn't a new trim or variant of an existing model.

Some sources claim Ford's gonna be revealing multiple vehicles, but who knows if that's accurate.

I sure hope Ford doesn't call it the Dark Horse Boss...that is a mouthful

The original name for the 2007 Shelby GT500 was: Ford Mustang SVT Cobra Shelby GT500 - I still have all of the emails on that one!

I feel the same way, however I am not certain why.  The overall Mustang's excitement just doesn't seem to be there....

Yeah hopefully the next redesign is able to recapture some of that passion. The base s650 isn't a bad car, bad performing, bad looking, it's just not bold or forward thinking enough to be a real home run in either of those areas.

I was talking to someone on the Ford Licensing side for the Mustang - Warner Bros. (owner of the Bullett name) has increased licensing fees to atmospheric levels.  The cost Warner Bros. presented to Ford is actually eye watering - way over and beyond what Ford paid to Shelby for the GT350 and GT500 names.

In other words, it's not coming back for a while lol.

Thats exactly it. I get they don’t want to throw mountains of money at it because of a razor thin ROI but the Mustang line needs a serious shot in the arm.
