Possible but I think a 4wd dakar rally inspired mustang with a Predator blown v8 is more likely and matches the sillouette shown earlier. Willwll313wll
Could be the MCM as well. If so, expect it to be mild from what I've heard. That's if it wasn't canceled/pushed back. Edited January 8 by Willwll313wll

mustang84isu
That's sad that only a single new vehicle is being revealed at the Detroit auto show--not just a single Ford, but a single vehicle by any automaker period. I was last there in 2015 and that's when Ford had the GT, GT350R, and Raptor reveals in that liquid blue paint. I think they might have even had a Focus RS and Fusion Sport in the same paint color. And there were a lot of other reveals from other automakers. Lincoln also had a pretty large display. It was an amazing show, but that was all before social media reveals took over and ruined the autoshow experience.

Car shows are just about useless these days because the whole game has changed, for better or worse.

There are certainly vehicles I like out there, but there really hasn’t been anything to get excited about for a while from Ford or anybody else for that matter. is this going to be an affordable model for average Joe public to buy or another expensive performance vehicle? Though I love performance vehicles, since most of the vehicles I own are performance vehicles, I’m also concerned about my kids being able to afford Ford vehicles when they start buying their own. T-dubz
It’s getting a lot of hate over on 6g, but I like it. The RTR grille with bronco letters looks better than the plain RTR grille. Don’t care for the neon rings on the sas wheels, but if the “base” version with 33” tires uses the plain RTR evo wheels, then that’s much better. Heritage fenders is a plus too. Only bad thing is maybe the graphics but they aren’t terrible. Also the fact that this is a 2027 means I guess we aren’t seeing any changes coming up soon. Wonder if the lack of interior pictures means there are no interior upgrades with this package? Or maybe the 2027 interior gets an update and ford doesn’t want to show it off yet? rmc523
I guess it's a nice addition to the lineup, even if it doesn't do much for me. It seems like a "meh" introduction though after being hyped up....

At a bare minimum, the Sport should get the Maverick/Escape hybrid powertrain and the Bronco and Ranger should get the ROW Hybird setup. Maybe down the road we’ll get an EREV Bronco and maybe a CE1 Bronco to replace the Escape/Edge.

Isn't the ROW hybrid for Ranger a PHEV - not sure they'll go that route here....I think they'll go a PowerBoost (regular hybrid) route instead. Farley's comments also line up with those surveys they put out to Bronco owners a few months back that mentioned a few different powertrains (including hybrids). T-dubz
Between the 2.3, 2.7 and 3.0, it seems like most bases are covered. A hybrid would be interesting but anything else seems like overkill unless you plan on dropping some of the other options. Ford the bronco sport, I’d like to see the 2.0 made available on all models and replace the 1.5 with the hybrid, essentially copying the mavericks powertrains. I could see the 2.7 going away/being replaced with a hybrid-only variant. .... I dug up the thread that had the survey, a TLDR version of powertrains were: However, there was apparently 12 pages of potential combos (he didn't specify the variants, and all photos were pulled down). I find it hard to believe that they wouldn't have an upgraded engine option for non-Raptor models, so I'd assume the 3.0hybrid would be the "2.7" upgrade option? Maybe with a HiPo 3.0H standard for Raptor, with a 5.0H optional? Edited January 21 by rmc523

A V8 option is one of the only things a wrangler offers that a bronco doesn't. So there could be a market opportunity there.
