reminds me somewhat of one of my fave...the Lincoln MKR concept....

What really burns is same wheelbase and track as Falcon of the time.

That was North America taking the piss at Ford Australia’s expense,

they had zero intention beyond a concept at a show.

I loved that thing back in the day and remember thinking how it would put Lincoln back on the map.

I remember Mulally came in right after the Interceptor and MKR concepts had been shown and received positive feedback - he was seemingly ready to approve them, and then was told that they weren't intended for production, just concepts......

Maybe they should've kept the Edge and Escape. Discontinuing the Edge will force me to go to a different brand. I've been a Ford owner for a long time.  Now im just extremely disappointed

That's just part of being a repeated Ford owner these days.

You know what would help? Invest in Flat Rock so Ford can build something other than low roof sedans and coupes there. Make it a flexible plant and either put a CE1 line in that can handle hybrid and/or EREV construction or (less likely) make it a C2 plant for future C2 production but I still have a hunch that C2 will make way for a CE1 gas/hybrid/EREV if it is successful in Louisville.

Either way, Flat Rock is a solution waiting for investment $$.
