akirby
Those resources are going to the pickup and the Lincoln offshoot. It's not like Jeep is doing anything different.
Deanh
Ford needs some serious lessons regarding Audio.......even the B & O systems are all ok, but thats giving them credit...
rmc523
We've pretty much known this. I think Bronco is the one model they can get away with this, as long as they continue making small upgrades and/or special editions each year. Only bad thing, is by the time the new one rolls out, Ford will have de-contented everything but the steering wheel and seats in the cabin lol. 5

Honestly I have no issues with the stock audio with the sub. It’s not the best at low volume, but turn it up and it sounds a lot better, but I’ve always had the regular audio in cars so maybe it’s just me. im glad the bronco won’t change much. It’s easier for me to upgrade my bronco if they come out with some parts I like better. There are many parts that ford can change to keep the bronco fresh without having to redesign the whole thing. Grille, wheels, fenders and bumpers all make a huge impact on the look. Edited February 24 by T-dubz

They brought the Recon to display, one with doors and one with the doors pulled off. They've doubled down on the whole "mirrors go with the doors when you take them off so you'll have to buy a kit if you want mirrors when your doors are off" bit. Made me wonder if Ford patented factory body mounted mirrors in conjunction with removable doors on an off road vehicle. Wranglers weren't even worth checking out, as they're the same as they've been other than the discontinuation of the 4xe.

Ive got three.. a Bronco Sport, 2 dr Badlands and a Raptor, all have the B& O upgrade...the sub is horrible in all three and the systems all are missing clarity/ top end...that said Im an audio snob...Working on the two door as we speak, Focal speakers and a JL sub ...hopefully that will make me quit my whinging...subs in as are the rollbar speakers...lot better...kick panels and dash next...just hope its not all spoiled by the B & O equalization....and hate to say this, but the speakers removed were horribly cheap... Texasota
This is the same approach Ford has been doing with the Mach-E. I think the big change the engineer is referring to for the 2027 Bronco is going to be a hybrid system. Most likely a HEV (Powerboost) with Pro Power Onboard that Farley has already said is coming. Customers seem to love the current styling of the Bronco so why mess with it if you can incrementally deploy new capability that customers are asking for. So far my roof is good, but I don’t need any extra vibration causing cracks 🤣

I'd be surprised if we get it for the current generation, but that's me. I know they've hinted at the fact it's coming, but adding it mid cycle is interesting. Unless they were truly able to just dust off the old work (remember rumors had it as an option originally) and essentially plug and play existing systems? I’m betting this is the approach they will take. Farley’s comments didn’t seem like he was talking the end of the decade. Between the F150 Powerboost and the Ranger PHEV, Ford has everything they need for a hybrid Bronco sitting on the shelf.

Typical T6 timing, batching changes at a natural break point. When Bronco updates, those changes are also needed to make luxury versions work properly too. Yeh, I know that’s like duh but it makes T6 very affordable and lowers costs. The frustrating thing is that Ford is ordering vehicles based on assumptions and honestly, a lot of those are wrong or just whim/conviction in higher ranks. I totally agree. Our last two new Fords’ stereo quality declined from their predecessors IMO. I get the feeling these systems are pretty much B&O in name only.
akirby
The Revel system in the Lincolns is really good but they've really cheaped out on the Ford systems. It's frustrating because most buyers would be happy to pay extra for a better factory system.

This seems consistent with Ford’s pay more, get less mantra, so it is in particularly surprising.

Bronco T6 chassis was already considered an "update" with the coil sprung rear suspension that is a vast improvement over Ranger T6 and it's leaf spring hung rear axle....from here on out, I believe you will not see any major changes until Ranger ROW T6 is significantly upgraded which makes one ponder what a potential T7 chassis will bring...I-beam frame construction? Giga-cast sections ala CE1? New metallurgical mixes such as magnesium to lighten the overall unit? But, if you look at the history of ROW Ranger, it has been riding on a T6 chassis since 2011....not quite Panther chassis long, but it has been awhile.... jpd80
T6.2 product cycle was always planned to continue until about 2032, so a major refresh around 2029 would seem to be the final update…

And that will be interesting to watch, because if they don't also deploy it in the Ranger at the same time, then we know the Ranger in it's current form is being dropped. If it is deployed in the Ranger, then it lives on.

Blue Oval Regrets Manual Ford Bronco Sasquatch Debacle Turns out, this particular oversight is also something that The Blue Oval regrets, perhaps unsurprisingly. “Um, yeah, launching with the Sasquatch package obviously was a disruptor to this segment, and even to like the off-road kind of industry, right?” Bronco development engineer Seth Goslawski told The Drive in a recent interview. “It kind of set a new bar, I would say."
