Having a "domestic option" helps on the sales floor. Very true. My store is extremely small, to the point where anything off brand sits a long time. Very few people come to or look at a Ford store in a town of 300 people for a Dodge, Chevy, or import of any kind. So, while it doesn't help my store directly, I've got friends who are at Stellantis stores.
