Ford Recalls - 2026 Version

Recommended Posts

I had recall 25C69 completed in my driveway by my dealerships mobile service - done in 20-25 minutes and part of the "integrated park module" software update also reset my miles to empty by about 120 miles less. It is however resetting as I drive the truck and I am pleased with Ford's effort to make the process as pain free as possible.

I still fail to understand how losing the rear view camera is a safety issue when your mirrors still work.

I wonder if this is one of those ones that would've been a TSB otherwise if it weren't for the recall issue Ford had a while back.

This defect primarily affects Gators, Aviators, Explorers, and Nautilus equipped with 5 radar sensors and commonly used in livery and chauffeur applications in densely populated urban settings.

Yes, how did we manage for over a hundred years without backup cameras?  Don’t get me wrong, I use my backup cameras a lot and like them. But we did manage to drive without them and we didn’t experience calamity and mayhem.

Many of the recalls OEMs deal with are related to government mandated equipment. Think about how many recalls there have been for Takata airbags (67 million, biggest recall in history) and more recently these backup cameras. ABS/ESC also the source of many recalls.

Ford Recalls Thousands of Super Duty Pickups For Failing Fuel Pumps - Autoblog

The latest recall applies to 7,105 Ford models, including the following variants and model years:

2020-2022 Ford F-250

2020-2022 Ford F-350

2020-2022 Ford F-450

2020-2022 Ford F-550

2021-2022 Ford F600

2022 Ford F-750

According to information on the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s website, biodiesel deposits may form on the pump drivetrain roller components. If this happens, the high-pressure fuel pump could fail. A previous software update for the powertrain control module (PCM) and transmission control module (TCM) has proven ineffective, which is why the latest batch of pickups need a new PCM software update.

They still haven't fixed the fuel pump issue on the Bronco FFS

Ok today I learned there is an F600 and an F650.  I knew about the 650 and 750 but I had no idea they squeezed a 600 in between the 550 and 650

Yep, nearly the same GVWR as the F650 in the F550 chassis and size and available with 4WD which I don't think the F650 and 750 are.  Quite a few RV manufacturers building super-C's on the F600 chassis.

Maybe  one of our resident Medium Duty experts can chime in in but I think one major distinction is that the F600 is only available with hydraulic brakes and the F650 is available with air brakes as an option

I don't speak as an "expert" but correct no air brakes on a 600.  I think one of the biggest attractions-besides 4WD- is the physical size is less intimidating to the driver vs the size of the 650.  For sure it is a safer alternative to a 550 at 19,500 gvw that is always overloaded to the max.

Ford’s CEO Says Quality Is Improving, And 423,000 Recall Owners Will Have To Take His Word For It | Carscoops

A new US recall covering more than 420,000 vehicles highlights a fault with windscreen wipers that could stop doing their one essential job at exactly the wrong moment.

I had a '77 Chevette for a brief time that would do that.

Affected vehicles: select 2025-2026 Ford Maverick pickups produced between August 8th, 2025, and September 11th, 2025, as well as select 2025-2026 Bronco Sport SUVs built from July 29th, 2025, to December 3rd, 2025.

Number of affected vehicles: 3,170

This is for 21-23 models.  Until the 2025 and later models start having big problems I'll assume the quality improvements are working as advertised.

Sure, but still a recall(s) to report.

Sure but the comments are questioning Ford's assertion that quality has improved.  Recalls prior to 2025 do not disprove that statement.
