Ford Bronco Recall 26S55: 2021-2026 Bronco - Engine Compartment Wiring Harness Repair [July 23, 2026] 1784813109065-qs

So it's bad enough for new deliveries to be halted (if I'm reading it right), but to everyone that has one....good luck, hope you don't catch on fire while waiting!

I figured my fuel pump will die first (still doesn't have an ETA for a fix either lol)

At this point, I honestly don't know what recalls are open on mine.....I just wait until I get a notice there's a fix and then try to schedule something around when I need an oil change anyway.

I think I recently got a letter of a fix for one of them, but shrug.....

Only affects an UNOCCUPIED driver's seat?  And that warrants a recall?  This is ridiculous.

If there's a small child in the back seat (which there shouldn't be if the vehicle is unattended, but...) when this happens, I could see an issue.  But, yeah, recalls are getting a little out of hand.

There’s been a few times where I’ll get out of the car with kids in it to run into a store for a moment and remote start it to keep the A/C or Heat going.

They're probably big enough to protect themselves from a seat though?

You would think but I do question their self-preservation abilities at times

I have a couple of those too.  One will be 21 next week and the other is 17.  The other one seems to have gotten all of the common sense. 😄

I wonder when Ford stops with the "everything's a recall" approach and goes back to TSBs, etc.

I’ve wondered the same thing. Seems like many of Ford’s recalls would not be recalls for other OEMs.

My favorite so far is the "peeling chrome on the interior console may scratch you" recall.

I think they were required to "over recall" for a period of time as part of a penalty for not properly doing a recall in the past.

I don't think NHTSA works that way. They made a conscious decision to go back and find past problems and fix them now rather than have them continue to pop up a few at a time for the next several years.  Rip off the bandaid and get it over with.  If done right and assuming they aren't creating a lot of new problems it will pay off soon.
