N01Special
2023 Aviator, Goodyear Eagle Touring 275/40R22 is the stock size on my vehicle. I'd like to go about an Inch wider for a more aggressive look but concerned about clearance in front. Any insight, recommendations or feedback appreciated. T hawker
Don't know if you have the air suspension or not. I have it and I can barely get my fingers between the tire and upper suspension part (don't know if this part is any different) so going with an additional inch (1/2" on inside) may be pushing it. I'm on the opposite side of the equation. I'm not a fan of low profile tires so I removed the P275/40R22's an installed the police interceptor steel wheels (18") and P255/65R18 tires giving me a much larger sidewall. My overall diameter went from 30.7" to 31" but with the Aviator in it's lowest position (cargo loading) I have no problems with the additional tire height. The ride did improve slightly on smooth pavement, greatly improved over rough pavement and the Michelin's are a lot quieter then the stock Goodyears.
