dpracer79
I have a 1990 ford super duty diesel with a 5 speed manual. I believe it used to be an automatic with a 460 unleaded engine. It is giving me an interesting brake problem as far as I can tell the rear abs module is not there. The brakes sometime work perfectly fine. Other times they are nonexistent. I first bled the brakes, no help. Then replaced the power booster, it has the hydro boost that is running off pressure from the power steering. Then bled the brakes, still intermittent. What else is possible. The master cylinder appear to be working correctly when the vehicle is off or on, the brakes when being bled squirt fluid out when bleeding. No air coming out after many more pump and bleed repetitions than should be needed. Is it possible the power steering pump pressure is not consistent and could be not right? I still have steering with no effort. Thank you in advance. Charlie
