Look at the Floridian trying to sound like a Canadian by throwing that 'eh' in there!  🤣

Haha, well the factory is in Canada after all!

Usually 200,000 units for an assembly plant is more feasible output than 80-100000 units. 3 billion Canadian for only one shift in the main plant?? I have to wonder if more is planned or that’s it. Time will tell, especially with the current tariff and world events situation.

I didn't phrase my statement well.

Yes, I realize 200k+ is more typical output for a plant.   I was meaning an additional 80-100k Super Duty production sounds like a lot to put out there, unless demand for them is so high right now and simply not being satisfied by current output.  Or they do plan on reducing SD production at KTP, and reallocating it to Expy/Navi production, balancing out that 80-100k number to a degree?

I was thinking to myself why does ford need another 100000 super duty out there?? Unless what you’re saying has some validity to it. They say Ohio Avon lake and Kentucky truck are maxed out so they must know what they’re doing. I do know this though, if super duty number ever plummet Oakville is going down first lol.

Ford does sell Super Duty in Canada and by building them there, they get around the reciprocal tariffs. They could also sell them in Mexico due to the USMCA trade agreement.

I thought I saw something that Ford expected they could grow the market even more if they had more assembly plants to build more. I can't find the article now.

Ford parts store

Well I hope that’s the case going forward. I know they want to get the Super Duty to more international markets.

Yeah F series does great in Canada. They sold about 138000 f series last year. I don’t know how many of that is SD but we all know F-150 is the majority of that.  They will definitely sell them to hopefully more and new international markets.

You're supposed to get the 'electrified' version too, right?  I would expect that to increase your number of units in a couple years.

I heard they want to build an EREV SD there. Multi energy at the plant according to ford media release. So gas, diesel and EREV.

The changes on the outside are few, I wonder if there is a bigger change on the inside (new screen setup like Nautilus)

I'd assume it'd get the current Chinese setup (which was basically our interior with a screen on the passenger side).

oh, they redid it then.... I never looked at it closely enough - I always thought it was the same from the air vents down just with the upper part/screen area replaced.  The door cards are the same, though.

mmm not so sure. I couldn't find total sales but I did find this estimated:

2025 sales: between 50k-55k

2024 sales: 55k-60k

For comparison >

Cadillac 2025 sales: 95k

Lexus 2025 sales: 182k

Not talking unit sales - talking about the operation making $$ which they are.

I understand but they could be making much more money if the sales were better. Not so long ago they sold more than 100k a year.

Latest Borg info:

I've checked in recently and still no status change, as far as anybody knows Lincoln still has Corsair for the US. Nobody seems to know the timing however. I'm just assuming it's coming alongside the Chinese refresh, but maybe it's lagging behind by 6+ months or so. They have up until January really to launch a 2027 Corsair.

This completely contradicts his previous comments of "no plans for Corsair", but ok.....

Also Lincoln is getting a version of the skunkworks CE1 EV, but it's not arriving til 2030?   man, Ford is in no hurry......

Some timing updates on the Lincoln Skunk EV, it's out to 2030, a year later than the Ford Skunk SUV coming in 2029 (which arrives two years after the Pickup). They'll be hurting for awhile if they lose Corsair. I think Nautilus can probably absorb some of it however.
