rmc523
March was not a pretty month, with the only gains being Mustang, Explorer, Expedition, and Aviator. Everything else was down, some models down quite a bit.
ZanatWork
I think Ford will be in choppy waters for awhile, as the headlines are full of recalls and lost EV money as much or more than upcoming models.

Ford vehicle parts Don't forget the fire at aluminum supplier Novellis. They won't be back to full production until May. Until then, production of the F-series will suffer.

Hopefully for Ford it’s a temporary blip until the Model T moment with CE1 product launch arrives in a couple years.

jpd80
F Series sales for Q1 2026 are down 40,000 compared to same time last year but thanks to RMC’s charts we can see that bleed slowed to 10,000 last month and 62,000 combined sales is a passing grade in my books (72,000 would be better) F Series inventory is still skinny at 179k, normally 220k-250k so maybe building to order.. Combined F 150 production last month was just over 50,000 and combined. SD production was just over 28,000 - that gives us a rough idea of sales mix. When you add in sales to Canada and Mexico, I doubt there was anything left to go to inventory… Explorer and Expedition put in a good effort with combined sales over 30,000 Ford continues to fight the good fight where ever it can and looks like the sales mix is favouring mid and upper series products. It’s a good strategy when things are tight. Edited April 2 by jpd80

Zestyg
The MME is really in the toilet. Equinox EV is only down 7.2%, Ioniq 5 is up. Did Ford just stop trying to sell it?

In addition to the lack of proper sales promotion for the model, MME has been decontented for 2026. It loses the frunk, universal garage door opener, NACS adapter, tire inflator and sealant kit, 360-Degree Camera, Front Parking Sensors, Reverse Brake Assist, and MagneRide dampers (GT) as standard features. The Connected Navigation feature is included for 1 year only on 2026 models; the 2025s included 3 years. I purchased an MME GT for my wife in May 2025 when the big shots at Ford were at least semi-serious about promoting and selling that vehicle. MME sales were up 11% that month YoY. Ford Motor news only $3500 discount. Equinox is $8700. Ioniq 5 is $10k. I keep telling you guys price is king regarding sales volume.
jpd80
From across the pacific, Ford Australia announces price reductions for PHEV Ranger (now calling it Ranger Hybrid) The price reduction ranges from $17,000 for XLT to $20,000 for Stormtrak, and exactly those amounts below V6 diesel. Quote https://www.carexpert.com.au/car-news/ford-ranger-phev-prices-cut-by-up-to-10000-other-rangers-get-4000-fuel-offer Ford has also introduced drive-away pricing for the Ranger PHEV range (which Ford now refers to as Ranger Hybrid), with the entry-level Ranger XLT Hybrid now priced at $62,000 drive-away – over $10,000 less than its previous price of $71,990 before on-road costs. Every Ranger Hybrid comes with a plug-in hybrid powertrain comprising a 2.3-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine, a 75kW electric motor and an 11.8kWh battery, offering up to 49km of electric driving range (NEDC). The MY26 Ranger Hybrid Sport is now priced at $66,000 drive-away, while the Ranger Hybrid Wildtrak is now $70,000 drive-away, and the Ranger Hybrid Stormtrak is now $73,000 drive-away, down from $86,990 before on-road costs. Discounted Ranger Hybrid pricing is available until June 30, 2026. “These initiatives are designed to help our customers, from small business owners to families, get through this challenging financial period,” said Ford Australia president and CEO Fadi Mawal in a press release today. Mr Mawal, who took over the role in January, described the current fuel crisis – which has seen record petrol and diesel prices across Australia amid global supply disruptions – as “short-term pain at the pump”.
rmc523
https://fordauthority.com/2026/04/ford-escape-inventory-continued-to-thin-out-in-march-2026/ Lincoln Corsair: Here's How Many Were Left In March 2026 Looks like about 16,900 Escapes and 3,100 Corsairs out there still. Until they make an official announcement, it's not something we can fully count on (and even that can be pulled back, as we've seen with Ford). With Corsair inventory so low, it's surprising they haven't made a move already to disrupt sales as little as possible. Unless they start producing and shipping right away (somewhat plausible since they've been making it in China for a few years already), there's going to be a sales gap for at least a few months. Yes, I read that...I'll go with the "unofficial" announcement until the "official" Lincoln one comes out...Nautilus sales prove that your average Lincoln customer does not give a crap where it's built.

Ford vehicle parts With the political climate in the US, i wouldn't be surprised if they didn't make an announcement at all. They could just start selling the product and keep a low visibility on the news cycle.

They'll have to make AN announcement of some sort: 1) they've announced Corsair was discontinued, they'd need to let customers know it's back 2) it's a redesigned front, rear, and possibly interior (at least partially). They'll need to do some sort of debut showing off the new features. If it were identical to the outgoing model, sure, you could get away with no announcement.
