Andrew L
https://www.facebook.com/share/r/1BBU2SoWbM/ Glad to see blue return to the interior colors. I think the Navigator dropped Yacht Club and the latest BL themes were somewhat lacking color. This Aurora looks really good and glad it has some copper and mahogany colored to contrast it. I loved Rhapsody Blue on the Continental but thought it would look so much better with some warm wood to contrast the blue instead of the silver trim.
twintornados
Wonder if GM is going to have issue with using Aurora as it was an Oldsmobile name....I doubt it though since that was pre-bailout. I know Ford used the name also in the 60's for a series of luxury station wagon concept cars....
The Handler
I had no idea these sticker for $80k and up. Seems too high for this class of vehicle. Like trying to make a silk purse out of a sow's ear.

The Aurora interior theme is nice but ultimately this product is a Chinese overpriced boring anonymous unibody blob.

It's too pricey of a trim for a mid-level luxury utility. Lexus doesn't even offer such an expensive upgrade for the RX. I mean, it's great if enough people are willing to pay that much for an upgrade.....

And BL offers some additional perks like free maintenance and car washes. It is pricey but it's not completely out of line considering inflation. BLs were selling for over $60k in 2017 which is $80k today.

Can confirm the window sticker for my 17 BL MKZ 3.0T AWD was a hair over 60k

X5's base trim starts at $68k and go way beyond $80k GLE's base trim starts at $62k and go way beyond $80k While I agree it's price, and you're right, there are also competitors that are cheaper on the top end, but they offer the generic combos. I do realize that, and I have always viewed it for what it is - a mid-level competitor. A GLE450 with the $12k Manufaktur upgrade can be optioned for as low as $85k. Lincoln charging close to that on a lower-tier product when it's still an anemic, obscure brand seems wild to me.

See that is the problem in a nutshell-you feel like Lincoln is a cheap Chinese luxury knock off (well it is built in China) but if the market will buy it still at those prices, why wouldn't Ford Motor Company charge that? Yea, if you go for the 2026 GLE350 which is closer to Nautilus Black Label in terms of powertrain, the MSRP comes to $84,200 with the following packages: MANUFAKTUR Interior Package, Nappa Leather (available in Carmine Red theme as pictured below, or Yacht Blue, or Truffle Brown) Pinnacle Trim (MB's top trim level for GLE) Driver Assistance Package (MB's version of BlueCruise) Outboard rear seat side airbags Edited April 28 by morgan20
