BenKohnen
I'm about to be a hero to a young man who had ordered his Mustang GT in December. It came in early this week, and he had to push picking it up to today at the earliest. 😁 Edited May 1 by BenKohnen
Sherminator98
Quote Shelby GT/GT500 So where are these being built!? Quote final pay units of 2025 Escape, Explorer, Corsair and Nautilus What is meant by that that? Final production? or they leftovers from last year?

They include those incase a dealer still has one in stock for whatever reason. Final pay is a rebate paid to the dealer when they stop putting retail incentives on the previous model year if a dealership still has them in stock. I figured it's leftover 2025 stock essentially.

That is what I saw when I was there....several were in the bays being "massaged" into Shelby's....

I'm guessing the exclusion list needs to get cleaned up

They either didn't update the list or for some reason thought those might still be in dealer stock somewhere.

jpd80
Normally, Ford offers discounts like this when it knows a big slow down in sales is ahead or maybe the icy winds are already being felt in some regions…. Edited May 2 by jpd80

Most of the time when they do employee pricing they eliminate or reduce rebates so the actual price stays the same or close.

When I bought my 2025 Maverick last year, I was able to get "employee pricing" but the dealer tried to bump my trade down $1K....nice try....a little conversation later and the trade price was corrected. They tried to excuse it by saying "Well, your trade is going to need new tires"...my reply was "Thats a You problem, not a Me problem"....they sold my traded vehicle 30 days later on the same tires....I was not surprised at all. PS: also got the first responder discount rebate as well... Edited May 3 by twintornados

In April there was a $1500 rebate, but A-Plan/employee pricing cut $4800-ish off MSRP. Obviously the number varies from unit to unit. The lowest price vehicle on my lot right now (Maverick MSRP $32055) saves $1552, while the highest (F-250 MSRP $83380) saves $7923. Plus there's a few vehicles still carrying incentives, so those come off too. Dealers playing games with trade numbers sucks. I'm so glad I'm not part of one of those anymore. Scumbag manager at one place looked for ways to hide rebates and private offers in the trade. I ended that when I went into finance - it's not ethical or legal.

In the past when I bought on A plan, normally the price was say starting MSRP of that trim and the options where covered by the A plan price. More expensive the vehicle, the bigger the discount. BenKohnen
Pretty much, yeah. I think it's a percentage thing. Accessories, however, are not covered by this program. Dealer fee/service fee is allowed to be whatever the dealer normally charges, unlike actual plan programs. According to the program guide, participation is "at dealer's discretion", but I can't imagine any dealer telling their customers "no, we're not part of that program". It does give them an out on ordered vehicles, if they were going to get full song on those, they can pick and choose if they are or aren't applying the program. I couldn't be happier that my brother is a Ford Retiree, so I can still use his Z-plan when I need to. Funny thing is, the dealership that I bought my first 2 Mavericks from told me after delivery of the 2nd that they would no longer accept the Plan pricing, so my wife's '24 Edge and my '24 Mav both came from other dealerships, 1 of them a 325 mile ride away. Yes, the trade-in values can be brutal, since there's no place to hide a mark-up. I do my homework with Carmax/Carvana pricing, compare what my loss of tax credit could be, and negotiate something in the middle. HRG My '24 Lariat when I traded in for my '24 Lariat Tremor. fordmantpw
Curious, why are you buying so many Mavericks? You traded a '24 in for a '24? Just wanted the Tremor?

I ordered my '23 XLT/FX4 as soon as I knew I was retiring, and needed to replace my company car. Didn't realize how much I would miss the push to start button, so as soon as the '24's were available to order, I ordered a Lariat. I kept looking at Tremor's, when I realized that Atlas Blue was being discontinued, as well as the physical buttons on the dash, I found a Lariat Tremor optioned exactly as I wanted, at a dealer willing to give a fair trade-in value, and accept the Z-plan. The '24 Tremor now has 39K on it, so a '27 might be in the works, depending on color options. Supposedly a redesign coming for '28, not sure what that will bring to the table. On a recent trip out to CO, found a '26 Tremor in black that I almost thought about looking at. I've got a VERY understanding wife, so that helps,,,,, HRG

Nothing in the world wrong with mine, but the new ones have 360 camera and all the Lariat level goodies. I'd finally decided to bump my order from XLT to Lariat, went in to change it that morning and it had scheduled overnight. It's all good though, having a Lariat Tremor would have made the bump to a new one actually tougher.
