Bob Rosadini
Since my 23 150 was new I had my auto start/stop feature disabled. As I recently prevailed on the dealer to change my battery under the warranty-many of you have responded to my previous posts on that subject -thx, I now am faced with the the ASS feature-no pun intended- takes over and it shuts the truck off. As I would rather pay for the thimble full of gas that the feature saves vs a shortened starter life, I checked my owner's manual on ability to disable permanently -no such thing. Any opinions? By the way I stumbled on a you tube post on how to extend the life of your Ford or some such language. Disabling this feature was one thing. akirby
The starter and battery were beefed up to handle the extra load if that's what really concerns you.
92merc
I put one of these in both my Escape and 2025 F150. Works great. Easy install on the F150. https://www.4dtech.com/f150-21-26-start-stop-eliminator/
fordmantpw
I think you can also shut it off with Forscan. I still need to do that on the Bronco...

Texasota
I hate it too. On my 2020 Ranger I plugged a LED nightlight in the 120 outlet on the rear of the center console and that defeated it. No outlet on my 2026 Ranger (pushing the ASS button on each startup). I’m considering the dongle posted above.
92merc
My issue is it seems to kick in just when I don't want it to. It's not a great comparison, but I'm getting about .5 mpg worse than previous owner with ASS disabled. So within statistical norms. When I start the vehicle, I see a message right away on screen "Auto start stop disable by button". Then the ASS light is illuminated. I can hit the button to enable it if you want. Next start, it goes back to off. So opposite of what is factory. I tried the Forscan method. For some reason my truck didn't like that setting. Threw the battery warning light on the dash. Tried a couple of combinations people suggested. None worked without the battery warning. So went back to the 4DTech device like I have on my Escape. No issues for me.

I know on the Bronco, that option disappeared with the 2024MY
