rmc523
Stellantis Quietly Showed Dealers A New Chrysler Starting In The $20,000s | Carscoops Chrysler dealers have already had a look at what could become the brand’s next affordable model. Pennsylvania dealer Dave Kelleher told the Detroit News that Stellantis presented an affordable Chrysler concept called the Pronto last fall, with pricing that could start in the $20,000s. Production is not confirmed, but Kelleher says dealers were also shown similar small and affordable future products for Jeep and Dodge. No further details were disclosed about these models. Newly appointed Chrysler CEO Matt McAlear says Stellantis leadership understands the need to bring cheaper cars back into the lineup, and not just at Chrysler. “That’s definitely part of the Chrysler future, and it’s part of all of our brands’ futures,” McAlear said. “It’s something that we know we need to work on as a company, and we need to take a good look at where the industry is going and make sure we’re competitive.” I'll file this under believe it when I see it given their product roadmap of late...

Here lies the issue with Chrysler-they've been trying to be pseudo Luxury Brand for the past 45 years or so and the lineup has been more or less ignored for the past 5 years. Stelleantis needs to figure out how it wants to market its car brands across the world and IMO they would be better off canning Chrysler and just going with Jeep/Ram/Dodge at this point. Technically you could make the argument for getting rid of Ram and combining it with Dodge, or just getting rid of Dodge since they only sell one "car" that wouldn't be able to easily be absorbed by Ram. It makes no sense to position Chrysler as a mainstream or cheap brand at this point.

Looking back over the decades, Chrysler has always been an upper-class type of car. Not at the bottom end like a Dodge or Plymouth, but also not a luxury car like the Imperial. A sub-$30,000 does not fit the brand.
atomcat68
The problem is that Dodge became a muscle car brand and Plymouth is gone. The only thing that would maybe work is use the Chrysler brand. I suppose they could revive AMC, after all VW is reviving Scout, but Chrysler is really the best option in this storm. I was in Great Britain a month ago, and saw a few Peugeot models. I think a great option is to bring over some of their crossovers, and build them here as Chryslers.
Dequindre
It kind of makes sense... Buick (which was typically seen as a premium brand) has experienced a great deal of success with their cheaper Envista and Encore model. People seem to like the "premium feel" subcompact/compact CUVs that are in the mid $20K - mid $30K range.

Last thing Stellantis needs is more brands. They already have about 6 too many globally.

Yeah, this would be the "fast" way of getting Chrysler some new products by just rebading the other products. 26 minutes ago, Sherminator98 said: They have? https://gmauthority.com/blog/2026/01/buick-envista-encore-gx-sales-numbers-figures-results-third-quarter-2025-q3/ Not to mention I've seen $2000-3000 off with 120 days with no payments on them. These were their sales last year: Considering Chrysler is just a minivan, I'm sure dealers would appreciate any additional volume...

brucelinc
The Chrysler 300 built on the old Mercedes bones was actually a good car and was pretty popular. I recall having one as a rental and finding it was equal or better than my Continental in terms of ride, quietness and overall feel. Seeing a once upscale respected brand devolve into an entry level appliance just strikes me as a bit sad. Stellantis has basically destroyed Dodge and Chrysler, IMHO. rmc523
Could this be the Airflow? If so, the one they canned looked better, IMO. rmc523
So as we've long suspected/suggested, they'll be bringing over some Euro products badged as Chryslers......in this case, the Fiat Grizzly, which is also ironic, considering we have Fiat here...... Chrysler’s Sub-$30K SUVs Will Be Rebadged Fiat Grizzlies | Carscoops Stellantis showed both vehicles behind closed doors at its May 21 Capital Markets Day event in Michigan, wearing Chrysler badges and lightly reworked fascias, Auto News reports. The Grizzly Fastback is said to have appeared as the Chrysler Arrow, while the standard Grizzly SUV was shown as the Arrow Cross. Dequindre
A Fiat Grizzly rebadge for Chrysler isn't aspirational by any means, but the Arrow and Arrow Cross should compete well with the Buick Envista, Kia Seltos, Honda HR-V, etc. Stellantis doesn't have anything to play in that space right now. T-dubz
Not a bad approach to copy Buick. If these are priced well, they should sell decently. I think these look much better then the airflow.
