Sherminator98
https://www.fromtheroad.ford.com/us/en/articles/2026/ford-bronco-filson-collaboration Quote Debuting Wednesday, June 3, the first-ever Bronco® Filson® SUV blends more than a century of rugged American craftsmanship with Bronco capability to create a premium 4x4 for adventurers who demand gear they can trust when conditions turn tough. rmc523
I didn't actually read it, but I'm guessing that this Filson version is essentially like an Eddie Bauer trim, where it has an upgraded interior (unique seat covers, center console and maybe coloring of the dash), without much in the way of additional capability. I'm wondering if this is what we saw testing a few weeks back with the egg crate-style grille, or if that's another trim?

It has a hardshell tire cover at least LOL

I would buy one! I love the hard cover. I saw my first 60th anniversary in the wild today and loved it! If they made a black hard cover, I'd be in! BenKohnen
Interesting - the prior collaboration between Ford/Bronco and Filson was a fire & rescue Badlands that was brought around to car shows. I went digging around in my Car Show Photos folders and came up empty. Apparently some of my photos didn't copy to my work drive. Fixed that now. 😁

fuzzymoomoo
I was expecting an announcement, I’m not sure this is what I was expecting. I like it though, should keep people interested.
Zestyg
I like all the collabs they’re doing. Its fun for us and probably makes a lot of business partners happy.

Its cheaper and more profitable then doing a hardpoint refresh on the product too. The Bronco is aging gracefully

We still have to see what the "obvious" update was that one of Ford's people hinted at, that I think was more powertrain related.....don't know if that's part of the Filson model or if it's something else that applies to the "normal" lineup....I'd assume the latter, but who knows! The Handler
This is exciting. I’ve long felt that Eddie Bauer needed to be replaced with a new partnership. The SUVs desperately need a premium outdoor-themed trim other than the truck trims like King Ranch and Platinum.

Hemi back in the Dodge Ram) or the obvious hybrid powertrain. I hope its the latter, the talk about the Escape and the new EV got me thinking that I’m almost assuredly just going to go for the UEV when its released but a hybrid/EREV Bronco would be compelling enough to consider. Worst case scenario its really cool.

Apparently it's not a one-and-done type specialty model....sounds like they're going to have it stick around for a bit. "It is not gonna be a limited edition. We see it as a very much a critical piece to the portfolio, as we continue to grow Bronco brand you know, Bronco is now segment leader in the medium traditional utility segment, and we've done it by way of additional product derivatives over the last several years," said Dave Rivers, head of Ford's enthusiast brands. "And we launched earlier, we announced earlier this year, the Bronco RTR, so this will be very much part of the entire lineup."

The teaser pic looks to be Shelter Green.
jpd80
Diversity in customisation, Bronco buyers feel like there’s a version made just for them. and that’s how Ford starts attracting premium buyers that are willing to pay more for what they want
T-dubz
so are we thinking this bronco from a few weeks ago is the filson? It has the painted fenders like in the teaser pic.

That's kinda what I'm thinking at this point. Them saying the model will stick around makes sense as a new "luxury" trim level (similar to Eddie Bauer in the 90s/2000s) vs. a temporary 1-2 year offering like the Stroppe version will be. I'm skeptical that they'd add 2 luxury trims. Edited May 21 by rmc523
ZanatWork
I'm admittedly curious about this, primarly as it's on the heels of strong rumors involving a 'Lincoln Bronco'. This would seem to be in-house competition.

Sure, there could be some cross-shopping, but I think there are plenty of buyers that want the Bronco look with added niceties, while also not wanting to pay for a Lincoln model, and vice versa.....buyers that want the Lincoln/luxury starting point, but don't like Bronco. Exactly-this has been pointed out over the years with Lincoln F-150 vs say a F-150 Limited. Lincoln has a different clientele and some F-150 buyers wouldn’t buy a Lincoln to drive a jobsite but say someone who has horses that needs to impress other horse owners. T-dubz
Once this trim comes, I think ford needs to redo the bronco lineup. big bend - base, big bend and outer banks all get rolled up into this trim. It becomes the mall crawler à la carte trim. Just like the badlands, you can choose any engine, transmission, roof, option package and seating surface. badlands - stays the same as it currently is, basically the off road à la carte trim heritage - same as now, but offered in white or black heritage options filson - new luxury trim. Better interior materials raptor - stays the same A few other changes: -signature lights should be standard on all trims. - painted trim should be tied to your roof. Cloth and MIC roofs get MIC fenders, mirror caps, door handles, etc. Painted tops will get trim pieces painted the same color as roof.

Funny, I've seen this rendering of the new Navigator front end on a Raptor and it looks pretty good lol. 12 hours ago, T-dubz said: Once this trim comes, I think ford needs to redo the bronco lineup. big bend - base, big bend and outer banks all get rolled up into this trim. Not sure what this accomplishes. ---- Naturally, much of 6G hates this Filson collaboration.................they're never happy with anything.
