When we were looking for a Nautilus Reserve there were 3 trim levels and 2 or 3 stand alone options so I had to look at the window sticker for every reserve that was the right color to see if it had the options we wanted. Very tedious and you're also dependent on how the dealers order them. The inventory tool does make it a bit easier now vs a few hears ago. The last two we bought we made compromises so I guess I'll have to order the next Nautilus since even the Black Labels don't come with everything standard. Unless I can talk her i to a Cayenne GTS 😎. Buying Hondas in the 90s was so easy. DX, LX, EX.

If you love grayscale colors, white leather interiors, and 2nd row captain's chairs, you were in luck.

I see that as crowding, as well, but I'll wait and see what the actual results for each bring to market. That said, your examples typically involved an SUV with most options installed vs. an AWD boulavardier unlikely to experience anything rougher than a pothole or a well maintained dirt road. GIven the Bronco's dedicated hardware, this will be a different situation...albeit with a likelihood toward "soft roader" uses.

Even the big dealers are very systematic about how they stock the lot, because it's all about numbers. The order guides used to even state an expected percentage of orders per trim level. For example, 2018 Fusion showed 10% S, 75% SE, 15% Titanium, and then even broke it down within trim levels to the sublevels. Sometimes they were right, sometimes not. A store I was at had some specific unwritten rules (well, all their rules were unwritten, or else they'd have had to apply them equally to everyone, but that's another story) about ordering stock units. F-150's were STX and XLT 302A. No Oxford White because we could always get one from someone else (weird, I know). Early in the order cycle, we'd have one or two Lariats. Never stock King Ranch, Platinum, Limited, or basic XL. Casket colors were best - gray, silver, black. A couple reds were fine, but they believed nobody bought blue - "no-sale blue". Supercab Ranger STX in Saber when that was available? Literally called a "goofy ass truck in a goofy ass color". We always stocked Expeditions, but only the MAX version because the owner preferred those. They also had a real tendancy to push people to take a vehicle that was 90% of what they wanted if we could dealer trade for it, or had it on the lot. Willing to sacrifice color to have it right now? Willing to take a different trim level that's similar but not quite the same? Now, I'm at a store that orders more customer order vehicles than I've ever seen. Why? Because we want people to have their vehicle the right way, the right setup, the right options. Besides, I really like doing order-outs, those are some of the happiest folks I get to work with when their custom rig comes in and they get to take it home.

Besides, I really like doing order-outs, those are some of the happiest folks I get to work with when their custom rig comes in and they get to take it home. I've bought 3 cars in my driving history, a Flex, Mustang, and Bronco. My Flex and Bronco were custom ordered, as I knew I was going to keep them for some time (kept the Flex for 13 years, and Bronco somehow I've had 4+ years now already), so I wanted to make sure I got what I wanted (plus with Bronco, I reserved one, so I was ordering regardless). My Mustang was one off the lot. It was always intended to be a "temporary" car (had it 4 years) while waiting for the Bronco, and was also a second car for most of the time I had it, so my "must have" list was different for it. There were some features I'd have liked to have that it didn't, but they weren't deal breakers for me. All three were blue (Flex was Light Ice Blue with the white roof, Mustang was Lightning Blue, and Bronco is Velocity Blue), and for me, I couldn't see settling on a different color than the one I want. I feel like if I buy something I didn't have my heart set on, that I'll look at it and be disappointed all the time. I guess my point is, since vehicle purchases last for multiple years, I'd rather get what I want than settle for something off the lot that isn't what I wanted. Every buyer is different, but color is an important one for me. I don't want a grayscale car lol.

I would have been happy with a well-equipped XLT or Limited in that same color combination and seating configuration, but I couldn’t find any of those either. This was during the summer of 2020 so I wasn’t too keen on ordering. I’m lucky it all worked out, though. The dealer did screw up the interior color, but I was able to have them fix it two weeks before the build date!

The Handler
I like it except for the wheels. It also has ventilated seats which is a plus for me. Mid $70k isn't too bad. The color palette is still grayscale slop. Sadly, there's no blue. Field Green looks nice though. https://www.fromtheroad.ford.com/us/en/articles/2026/ford-bronco-filson-specs-features Edited Thursday at 01:26 AM by The Handler
rmc523
Stupid that you can’t get it in blue. I honestly could care less about the Filson collaboration, but I definitely like the features of the Raptor powertrain and perhaps most importantly the ventilated seats that should’ve been around since launch. Some of the other features like digital rear view and power running boards are nice features. I wonder if the washer for the rear view mirror also washes the backup camera (which is another thing I think should’ve been around sooner)? DeluxeStang
Apparently it's about 20% quieter than a normal hardtop bronco. The interior has a really nice, premium look to it. Some of the material colors might take some getting used to, but it's not bad. The 3.0 is a great motor. Exterior wise, it looks classy, I really like small details like the new grille texture, it really elevates the look of the bronco to a more premium level. Overall, really nice addition to the bronco family.
T-dubz
I wonder if a lot of what we are seeing here are just new options for MY2027? Things like the digital mirror, ventilated seats, and power running boards seem like options that should be available on other trims. Besides the raptor engine, those are my favorite things about this trim. I also like all the painted exterior trim parts. The weakest part of this trim is the interior, which is strange because you’d think that’s where the filson collab would come into play the most. The brass dash and accents in the interior look terrible, cheap, and don’t look good with the rest of the interior colors. And what color is the interior? Is it tan? Olive? Hard to tell. This is probably my favorite grille, but I’m not sure about the color here either. Looks like we have a brass interior, with a bronze grille, and then a different bronze color on the wheels. Is it too much to ask for some matching colors? I do like this iron sands copper metallic paint, but it appears it’s only available on the filson first edition. I’ve always thought the bronco needed a copper color. It would look much better with a black appearance package though. Don’t think I care for the door bags either. I only keep water bottles in my door so this is useless to me. I’d rather them add the plastic aftermarket bins.

JTL2017
Personally, I’m not a fan of special editions. With that said, I like a lot of things they did here. The interior color aside, the interior works for me. Having finally getting cooled seats is nice to see and the rear seats getting heated is a neat touch. A lot of the features showed here though should have been in the Outer Banks model. Cooled seats, upgraded leather, and power running boards should have been included. Make it a true “luxury” bronco. The Outer Banks is lower end model that would wind up costing the same as a special model like this.
