GMC Hummer X SUV, Pickup Truck Concepts Downsize, For a Hummer

 

 

 

GM is celebrating the opening of a new design studio in Pasadena, California, by re-imagining its enormous electric SUV with a pair of outdoorsy concepts one size smaller than what we've seen recently.

Dubbed the Hummer X SUV and Hummer X Pick-Up, the two concepts are headlined by the huge difference in size from the typically massive Hummer EV. GM Design calls this a mid-sized EV, with a 116-inch wheelbase and 188-inch total length that come in at 10 and eight inches shorter than the production Hummer SUV, respectively. That smaller size is reflected on the pick-up, too, which is five inches shorter in wheelbase and 10 inches shorter in total length from the Hummer truck on sale today.

 

 

 

There has been rumors of the Jimmy returning - I wonder if they're doing a different take and making them Hummers?

Obviously with the open panels like that, that wouldn't make production, but I actually kind of like the latest Hummer styling.

I actually really like both of these. Remove the “concept” elements and I think these would do quite well. This is the size they should have originally been.

It has a Gator side by side vibe. Still better than the Kia truck but that's not saying much.
