See this looks fine to me and I feel like I'm going crazy lol. I think it's because when it's under a sheet, you can make out some of the creases and shapes better than either are covered on the mule, or washed out by the camo pattern. Like that looks pretty blocky, whereas the images of the truck in the snow look incredibly bulbous lol.

I'm not seeing "bulbous" from the snow one.

I just see a mule with extra camo.

That would be an interesting name for it - Ford Falcon. Resurrects a name from Fords storied past. Hasn't been used in North America for decades, would also fit in nicely in Australian market....

Falcon would be a good name but I think Ranchero fits the American market better while getting at the same thing.

Not feeling "Ranchero" as it seems to limit the appeal to only a segment of the market that likes all things "country".....I don't see its appeal toward the more urban end of the market whereas Falcon could reach both ends. My personal fav is still Fusion....

Does Bronco only appeal to people who like horses

I’m starting to think this thing does have a pretty high belt line and it’s not all camo. In the first pic, you can see the camo is adding a few inches. It goes up to about the middle of the side mirrors. In the second image, the camo goes to the bottom of the mirror. In the third image, we can see that it has pretty short side windows which appear to be the same size as in the 2nd picture.

I now think that the second picture is the actual shape of the truck, minus the extension on the back of the cab. I don’t think there’s any additional cladding trying to hide anything. The high belt line and tall bed does make it look a bit fat in these pictures, but the camo is probably hiding body lines that would make it look more visually appealing and less like a giant slab of metal.image.thumb.jpeg.014e65d25ccbebdc9f38dcd5e9ddc898.jpegimage.jpeg.a414ef94cdd5875860407e3a281c5c07.jpegimage.thumb.jpeg.566be152daf617507561efbe68e670e7.jpeg

Are they really going to call it the Ranchero?  It instantly reminded me of a Simpsons SUV, the Canyonero.

As far as the truck is concerned, in theory I think it could work.  I am just skittish when it comes to Ford Electric vehicles. Nothing wrong with the vehicle itself, but are folks who would consider driving a Ford vehicle really interested in electric vehicles??  I guess that is the question I have.  I'm no market or demographic expert but I do know if RAM came out with a small electric truck, it would fail. Why? Because RAM customers are mostly absolutely opposed to anything with electricity.  We shall see.

Falcon would be good. Ranchero is, to me, even better. However, I won't be surprised if they roll out a name that starts with E.

Ford uses E names on the crossovers/SUVs, not trucks.

I think the beltline falls in line with the mirror arm, so it'll be a bit lower than what's on the camo, but it's not going to be WAY lower where that fake character line below the fake handles is.

Mach E has been ok until the incentives dropped.

I understand your point, but I think if Ford prices the vehicle at their promised levels, there will be customers for it.

True - I was thinking they might try to get cute and squeeze it in as a play on E-lectric somehow.

God, I hope they don't. I really hope they don't. 😄

Then again, I firmly believe Chevy dropped the ball by not calling the Silverado EV the EVlanche, so I'm not imune to naming puns.

Yes. They have been, the issue is just pricing.

Because Dodge Ram owners have been socially conditioned by the company’s marketing to be mouth breathing cavemen when it comes to engines.

This "folk" that considers driving a Ford vehicle is also very interested in the electric vehicle Ford produces.

If that were indeed true, then Ford would reuse the Pinto name....but, I am guessing that the Pinto name has been permanently banished to the history books.

Motorhome chassis vehicles, which are based on the old Econoline, still go by E-series.

If that's the argument to use an E-name on this, it's a weak one, IMO lol.

I did find this in that website Ford has from the QR code.....

OR, that one design sketch does show a drop down from the front to the mirror:

image.thumb.png.eb0a8b9bcc4553daeef510a77edd25ee.png

BUT I actually think we've been focusing on the visual from that sketch......I think the gray one on the top right ais actually closer to what we're getting.  Look at the wheel well shape/detail compared to the screen shot above where the guy is pointing, they look more similar....

I found some good looks from the videos on the website.......

Here's the best look of the beltline height relative to the mirror arm, and the character line, which seems to confirm the beltline will be at the mirror arm height.

Another photo of the actual door sheetmetal at the beltline from one of the videos:

I think that's this piece?  I don't think it's part of the dash....but the step down is odd....but could also just be a part not fully installed/in position yet.

I hope it at least has some sort of heads up display. I think no IP is a big turn off to lots of people. Even a tiny screen like the mach e has is better than nothing.

I like the layout of the Expedition dash setup....
