If Ford had a hybrid version of Bronco Sport - I would've bought that instead of my Maverick - but the downside is, I would have kept my 2005 F150 for the "truck stuff" that I do....so buying the Maverick actually saved me money as I ended up selling the F150 as I did not use it anymore.

DeluxeStang
I see both sides of it. Showing models at once would be cool, but it could also undermine the truck. Edited July 1 by DeluxeStang
DeluxeStang
This side profile scares me, but I'll to keep the faith and hope it looks a lot better sans camo.

Here is my attempt to show thru that. It is swept back and has Mazda-ish windows.
Sherminator98
I also think the padding on the truck bed is making it taller then it actually is. I also think that the CE1 truck is going to not as tall as the Maverick either to help with aerodynamics

The winter test video though did have less obstructive camo, and the bed walls looked to be fairly high. Based off that plus the glimpse we got when Doug Field announced his departure, I figure its bed will resemble the Maverick’s.

DeluxeStang
A couple of notes. I've said before I think the truck will have an areo extension off the back and top of the cab to guide air flow over the bed easier, but recessed on the inside so you have more bed space. I feel like you can see what looks like the aero piece on the back of the cab angling inwards, and the rear window looks odd, like it's recessed. Tell me if any of you agree.

DeluxeStang
Other notes. You can get our best look yet at the DRLs here. They look like c-clamps we're used to, but with a pixelated look like Hyundai does. I like 'em, looks pretty futuristic. But this also gives us an idea of where the top of the bumper is. Maybe a couple of inches above the DRLs. So it drops down, but not as much as we might have feared.
DeluxeStang
So the red line is prob where the leading edge level is.

I’m assuming you wanted it more sporty sedan-ute based off previous posts. This is more crossover-ute like the Maverick, seemingly with a much more spirited drive, more interior space, and a more dynamic swept back appearance. To me thru the camo I get vibes of Mazda. you also should keep in mind that we literally cannot actually see the real lines or design, because of the heavy camo. My drawing deliberately did not try to depict anything we can’t currently see, for example the leading edge.

Yes, the spoiler was seen/pointed out in the first round of photos. Not sure what's so weird about it? As I pointed out in the first round, it's similar to Silverado EV (I don't think it'll have the angled buttresses though): 9 minutes ago, DeluxeStang said: Other notes. I'm hesitant to say too much about the lighting with that much camo on.....that pixelated look could also just be came over top of the lighting.

You had far too high of expectations for this thing lol. I also think "pulling on your heart strings" was also an exaggeration. There's only so much you can do style wise on a truck.

AI says the beltline on the current Ford expedition is 50-55 inches tall. I know that's a big range, but it gives us an idea. We see the roofline is maybe slight taller than the bottom of the expeditions windows. Keep in mind if the truck was even closer to the expedition, the level might even be lower than that. So I bet the roofline of this thing is 60 inches at best. That's LOW, like super low. A mustang roof is 55 inches give or take. So this thing is closer in height to a mustang than it is to a maverick, which itself is low. That's awesome as someone who loves utes.

I get it's their job to hype up products. But they shouldn't have hyped up the design if it ends up looking meh imo. They should have stuck to other attributes. Zestyg
I am inclined to believe the people who have actually seen the truck uncamoflagued that it looks good. I also as of right now like how its looking with camo a lot right now personally.
mackinaw
I'd say the camo is doing exactly as intended......making it impossible to see what the vehicle actually looks like. 4
Sherminator98
No one has mentioned what is going on with the actual camo I see a soccer/Football, a dog, a heart and a couple other things-they did the same thing during the Bronco build up.

But it can still be a cool/good looking truck.

Would certainly differentiate it from the maverick even more.

Jim Farley is ~68” tall in heels (lol) and the truck looks to be ~8 inches or so shorter than him by my guess.
