This makes me wonder how much cheaper it could have been if ford just left the regular stuff on it, or even decontented it a bit. I like cross traffic alert, blis, 360 camera and a large screen to run CarPlay on, but I don’t really need much else. I don’t really need the above either, but those are the safety/tech features I use most. Get rid of all the other junk and maybe you have a vehicle closer to 25k

Well, I dug through Ford's trademark database, and found some interesting ones.......some we've heard of, some I just found. Torino Mythic Lightstream Hive Fuze Ace Fathom Cyclone Futura (I think there was a dispute here with Firestone?) Evos Aeromax Left field names (that we haven't known about) seem to include that Lightstream or Aeromax names... Other interesting ones not related to the CE1: Mach 4 (we've known about this name) F-200 IonBoost (says for rechargeable electric batteries for vehicles

I'm between Fathom and Mythic, both of which have description of electric in them... Edited August 5 by rmc523

Yup, that's what I've been saying all along too - the feature set that's optional gets into territory overlapping base model Maverick (and soon to be CE1 truck), and the Slate is even still missing options there like power windows. Agreed, I question the sales depth for it.
T-dubz
Ford Fathom rolls off the tongue the best. Ford Cyclone is the coolest name, but isn’t Cyclone a GM truck? Mythic is the best of the rest, but it seems weird having an adjective as the name. Aeromax reminds me too much of Aerostar. Lightstream sounds dumb.
T-dubz
I like the slate. I wouldn’t mind having one as a second vehicle. But the value just isn’t there right now. I’ve heard similar from lots of people. I’ve heard “I’ll buy a used one in a couple years” many times, which isn’t a good sign for slate. They need buyers now.

The Cyclone/Comet were before my time, and I was only a kid for the Syclone. I coulda swore it was around longer than a year.

Dealers are being shown most new products through 2029-2030.
