Mums the word for the next few....personally I like it....but the little product snippets we were told gives me high hopes, even given its Electric, may just be a perfect sweet spot...at an "affordable " price tag

Everyone is being so cryptic lol. Over on the ranchero forums someone who sat in it told me "Not all is what it seems" when it comes to the design and overall package for the truck.

I have a really wild, out there theory starting to develop, a real tin foil special. But it's that Ford has been feeding us false details and a fake design this entire time. Like the mules are just mavericks with tweaks, the tarped shape is fake, it's all fake to throw people off the trail.

Normally Ford wouldn't put that level of effort in to deceiving people, but considering this is their most radical and important platform and products in decades, maybe they're going above and beyond to really mislead people.

I don't actually really believe that, it would be insane for Ford to do all of that, but it would be wild if that was the case.

Yes the National Ford Dealer Meeting is taking place this week in Vegas. Dealers are being shown most new products through 2029-2030.

Very interesting. Hopefully we get some fresh leaks and teasers. It's a far stretch, but I wonder if that off-road supercar and mach-4 will show up.

Or if dealers will be shown design previews for like a next gen bronco or mustang, probably not. I'll keep my eyes peeled for any info leaking out.

I think he’s just referring to the camo on the mules. We’ve seen the camo changing the shape of the windows, adding fake door handles, raising the hood and possibly raising the bed sides. He doesn’t know how we have analyzed every spy shot, patent drawing, etc. 😂 we know the general shape, just not the finer details.

6 new vehicles as in replacements of current products or additions to the lineup?

Yooooooooooooooo holy shit under $30k including desintation. This is a no-bullshit affordable EV.

Hopefully people will buy it. Your removing a big obstacle/excuse for people NOT to buy one.

I personally have no interest in it or buying one (I'd get a Mach E or Mustang Sedan before this) but I'm excited to see how it does and what comes next with it.

I’m definitely getting it. Only question to me is about the AWD/battery options.

Fathom is a way cooler name than ranchero. Ranchero is like Thunderbird, clunky, sounds old just saying it. Fathom is new, fresh, creates this feeling of mystery and intrique.

Really solid choice overall. Hopefully this means future icons and products get their own unique names instead of everything being just a reused name from the past.

Meh, I can also argue that the other way of people expecting some radical design (like you) being disappointed because it's a more "regular" looking design.

It can also just mean that what we've seen is heavily camo'd throwing people off of some elements, as was pointed out above.

Hey now, I think I have to get some credit for finding the name options and narrowing it to two!  😛

So yeah the Slate is DOA with a starting costing $28K

1,000% agree.

Buy a no-name brand where everything is optional for $26k (after destination), or this from an established brand with far more standard features for $29k (after destination).....

The personalization aspect is neat, but the pricing just doesn't work to me.

Agreed.....glad they didn't go with Ranchero.

The fact that they specifically state the fathom is 28k with the standard range battery tells me that you will not be getting 300 mile range for 30k.

If you remember a while back, we discussed comments from a user on mavericktruckclub where he described a focus group for this truck. He mentioned the standard range battery would have at least 200 mile range. He also mentioned the ability to power your house like the lightning, which was shown multiple times in the promo video. Could this mean the starting range is 200 miles?

I like the name. Much better than Ranchero. I'm really interested in the reveal. Not necessarily for the truck itself but the platform. It seems like it will be a higher tech, electric, and possibly better Maverick. My concern is if it will sell in the numbers that ford is expecting. However, it feels like it's very tesla like in many ways and that could bring in more buyers. I'm really excited.
