Ford Hypercar unvieling today?

So nothing came of this yet since this post lol.

Also, I personally am not that excited about a race car the public can't buy/that doesn't affect the regular lineup, which is what that looks like.

And you don't have to put up the "but the things learned on this product apply to normal models" line.  This is more of a vanity project while they have glaring holes in the lineup.  I know things are in progress, but still....

People have the attention span of a nat so in the grand scheme of things this really isn't much of anything. I don't think 90% of the car buying public actually give a shit.

, gnu,

Gary Gnu? And if you get that reference, be sure to schedule your next colonoscopy. 😄

Heard the "fire up the engine" video yesterday. Sounds like a proper race engine, we'll see what comes of the rest of the car now!

Doesn't matter how good it is, they'll hamstring it with BOP changes.

That's why reliability and great drivers are key, that's what wins races. It's not the 60s where the gt40 had like a 40 mph advantage down the straights lol.

Genesis is running the same chassis, and it seemed like they did pretty darn well in their first Le mans this year, so that's a promising sign.

That sounds so badass, holy hell. I can't wait to see this thing testing in a week or so.

Particularly around the 0:22 mark, it almost sounds like the most pissed off NASCAR engine you've ever heard blended together with old school high revving F1 v8s. Muscular, with a small taste of exotic flair.

IDK if it's possible, but with this race to road program Ford is doing, just imagine a GRD or SC with a 5.4 that sounded similar to that. Would be epic beyond belief.
